Do not go!. I’m from Puerto Rico, I know how my food should taste. Here it is just plain bad. They do not use fresh ingredients. The facilities in the front of the house are mediocre, I can’t imagine the back of the house. I ate her a few years ago and was not impressed at all. The people are from Puerto Rico but they can’t really cook.

Very good food. If you decide to come, be prepared to eat a lot. You will get more than you expect. In laws like there ropa vieja with sweet plantains, yellow rice with black beans on top! I had one of my favorite; mofngo with shrimp and to drink a Coco Rico!!! Thank you very much!!!!

We were Traveling through Tampa and found this place on google. Went in for dinner with my family and we were pleasantly surprised. The family running the place were very nice & the food was very authentic to my family in PR. Pernil was delish!

I am always up for trying new things, but unfortunately La Lechonera didn’t meet my expectations. I tried the camarones al ajillo. Although the sauce was tasty, I had a hard time finding the ajo in it; the shrimp were a tad overcooked; and the plantains that came with it were too greasy. The rice and beans were acceptable, but not the best I’ve ever had. The service didn’t make up for those shortcomings. I guess I’ll try a different place next time I am in the neighborhood.
