Mucho bueno!. Stopped in for lunch…first time here. The aromas wafting through the air when we walked in were tantalizing! A non-descript restaurant in a strip shopping center but packed with dishes on the menu which was hard to choose from. Had the calamari and a pork tamal for a starter (way too much food for the two of us). Excellent calamari with a pile of pickled red onions that was killer! The pork tamal was okay…we’ve had a better one at The Peruvian Grill in Sarasota. I settled on the saltado loma for the main dish…very good but the beef just a tad chewy. My wife had the saltado pollo (I believe) which was very good too. Chicken very tender. Seemed like alot of the regulars were eating the same as well as big bowls of soup. Overall, it was very good and worth a repeat. Alot of flavor and food for the cost.

As a peruvian chef, let me just say that the food here is prepared to perfection! The cuisine of my country speaks for itself, but the execution is beautiful =)

I know the owners and staff of this resaurant and they are all such amazing people and the food is VERY good!! My husband is from Peru and we eat here all of the time!! My Favorites are the Tacu Tacu con Lomo (a dish included rice cooked with beans fried onto it like a small shell toped with two fied eggs served with beef stir fry) and olluco con carne ( stewd chicken with a potato-like starch grown in Peru called ‘olluco’ served with white rice). The portions are very generous and the food is always awesome!!

Wonderful Experiance. I am a former Chef, retired and I am picky as heck. My wife and I went there for lunch. The food and service were very good. The prices were reasonable, portions were very large. My wifer had Chicken Alfredo, I had verde pasta with a spinach, basil and cheese sauce toped with a boneless tender chicken breast.and potatoe on the side. We both were very pleased with our dishes. The bill for 2 was $24.00. BTW I am in a wheel chair, they were very accessable.

Wowww. Peruvian food is the best food around. I love Machu Picchu, everyone is friendly and you can tell it is a family owned restaurant. The food was great. I ate Jalea and Ceviche de Pescado. I love Ceviche!

Good!. The seafood was fantastic. I ordered a Peruvian paella that consisted of an assortment of shellfish and fish and all of the proteins were met with excellent care. The rice itself was a bite dry but I chalked this up to it being a busy day. The alfajores were also quite delightful in compliment to a great cafe con leche. This spot is a very nice and authentic spot for great Peruvian cuisine and I would implore anyone craving for such a dish to head here first.

Not as good as I expected. I’ve eaten much Peruvian Food from another Peruvian restaurant owned and run by a true Peruvian whom I know personally and I can tell you their food is excellent and truly Peruvian. I thought Machu Picchu would be the same but, alas, it wasnt. I ordered my favorite, Pescado a lo macho and at $14 I figured it would be amazing. I was highly disappointed. The sauce was wrong and the seafood was overcooked. I will most likely never order my favorite dish again but I will probably be back to try the Yucca and hopefully it is as good as I’ve had. Keep in mind, ive eaten real Peruvian food, on average, once a month for the last 2 years. I know what is good and what isnt.
