The plantain chips for complementary appetizer with the garlic sauce was amazing. Ordered calamari appetizer was super delicious with their side sauce. Entree was mofongo with seafood al ajillo (on garlic sauce). The entree was decent however it didn’t have too much garlic flavoring as I expected . Everything else in the meal was perfect just needed the extra garlic . Please please change and it’ll be my all time favorite plate as I do travel to Orlando to get the same plate as there’s no other restaurant in Tampa that has it as good.

Good service. Food had eye, nose and taste appeal. Dcor was interesting. Try the lulo smoothie. It is Colombian fruit.

Me and my sister went today and we ordered grilled chicken, mofongo and 2 meat pies or empanadas. We did not like anything, the meat pies tasted old, the chicken was dry, burnt and had about 100 onions and my sister didn’t even touch the mofongo . We were very disappointed

What an Incredible find!!. In Tampa on vacation, we kept driving by Monserrate while going to other areas of town. This last day of our vacation we were hungry & saw the Monserrate building & it had a sign that showed Ceviche. We are huge fans of Ceviche so we decided to give them a try. Thank God we did! This restaurant is wonderful! Very friendly people who could not have been more helpful. We eat gluten free so we spoke with the owner who reassured us that he would prepare everything carefully. We ordered the Ceviche & the Pollo Asado (recommended by the owner) & we split them between the two of us. Lots of food! It is the BEST Ceviche we have ever had! Everything was so good that we are already planning our next vacation so we can eat here again!

Decent but worth a try for the pork.. Went there by accident as we could not find another location. Were skeptical of the menu and prices, kind of dirty place but hey.. turned out to be pretty good. Cuban sandwich was not a real cuban but the pulled pork was great, good ham and salami. They didnt have pickles? that was weird. But for $6.95 you get a huge cuban, side of whatever. which are all really good and a drink? cant beat that. it was awesome. Parents ordered the lecheon with rice beans and tostones for $9. That was well worth it. A ton of food. No fat in the pork and really juicy. They should have some sort of sauce to put on top instead of just crystal hot sauce at the table. The lame 15 piece plantain chip free app is a joke though. If you are going to spend so much time preparring such a nice garlic cilantro aoli, but chince the customer by giving them like 20 tiny chips on an app plate. Suggestion. Yes go there to try the pork specials, tostones and beans, white rice. Other plates and other reviews make it seem you should stick to these items. Can be pricy if you order the wrong thing.. But some things can be very cheap and great. They do need to clean the place up and the service is kind a slow as we were the only ones there. But good little place.

The plantain and garlic sauce complimentary appetizer is divine. The skirt steak had much to be desired, it was placed in the oven with plenty of onions and unfortunately it ruined the meat, it almost boiled the meat. The flan was outstanding and very tasty. The service was outstanding. The outside bathrooms clean but not easily available. I am not sure if I would return.

Do Not Expect Too Much. Basic latin fare. Whole fried fish was overcooked and dry. Chicken also overcooked. Service was slow. Really no compelling reasons to go here. I went once, would not return. Still looking for Miami quality Colombian food.
