just call to get some info when I ask the manager for her name she refused to give it, she was very short with me and rude don’t call asking for anything she might rip your head off, didn’t know a restaurant establishment would hire rude angry people to answer the phone, was gonna eat there guess not

It was okay. Atmosphere was the downfall. We were seated by the busiest walkway and I was hit by the passerby over 12 times. Food was okay but I would not say totally authentic. Beer was great!! Would be a good place to meet for drinks and Oktoberfest.

Mr. Dunderbak’s has been a Tampa staple for as long as I can remember. Their food is excellent, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and now they are brewing their own beer which is excellent. If you’ve never been here before, this is a must visit restaurant. I highly recommend checking out the soup of the day which they make from scratch. I also highly recommend the Kassler Rippchen and the Schweinhax which is only available in limited quantities on the weekends.

I love their beer selection and you should try their cheese plate to go along with your beer selections. Fabulous experience and friendly staff who will help you make selections if you are having trouble deciding.

Didn’t know what to expect when I pulled into a shopping center, but that rapidly changed when I saw the Biergarten. This place oozes pub. All in all it was a good meal and I’ll be back again.Currywurst Berlin with Bratwurst and WeisswurstThe smell of curry hits you when it arrives, the wurst is in a tomato sauce, it’s like a curry accented take on a BBQ sauce. Tasty! The sausage has a smooth consistency but I couldn’t tell the difference between the two sausage types.Saure Sahne Schnitzle, Sauerkraut, kartoffelsalatThe Schnitzel is like a country fried steak for you southerners out there. The sauce was similar to a stroganoff but with a little more . Half the veal was really tender but the other half was a little chewy. Overall it was very good. The sauerkraut was killer! Tangy but not overpowering and not bitter. The German potato salad was vinegary, as designed, the bacon was unexpected. It was ok.Jagerschnitzle, sptzle, and garlic potatoesThe Schnitzel had the same texture as my previous one but the gravy was the differentiator. It was a brown gravy with a strong beef flavor. It was also tasty, but of the two I preferred the sour cream version. The garlic potato cubes were simple and tasty, they had a good crisp to the outside. They were seasoned well. The sptzle were ok, they were mild in flavor, a little too mild for my taste.Apple streusel and vanilla ice creamYour classic apple pie a la mode. Eat the streusel with your ice cream. I am a compartmental eater generally and at first the cinnamon, allspice and cloves(?) hit hard, but they cut through the plain vanilla and work really well together. My buddy Jason Saltsman got the draft root beer and wished it had more bite.

PROST! Oh Mr. Dunderbak, I love you. Awesome German inspired food and excellent beer selection. I just cant say no to a large Oktoberfest Hacker Pschorr. No matter how my day has been it always gets better after one of those. The atmosphere is bar meets German biergarten meets market. They have two side rooms and often play soccer matches on tvs in there.Ive been so many times Ive probably had most of the menu. There for lunch? Grab a sandwich. Fresh, add some spicy mustard and potato chips. Dinner? Start with the pommes frittes with curry ketchup and then move on to a sausage platter. However the fried pork reuben IS TO DIE FOR. Split it with a friend to feel less guilty. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. It can get packed on the weekends so get there early or share a long table with another group and make some new friends. PROST!
