Father’s Day Brunch. My family decided to go to brunch on Father’s Day. Having never been to the Rusty Pelican I did not know what to expect other than what I read on the reviews. All I can say is that the food was excellent, great selection from traditional breakfast choices, to fresh seafood, to carving stations to excellent deserts. The service was also outstanding. The view of the Bay made it even that much better. I would not hesitate to recommend the Rusty Pelican to anyone. We will definitely be back.

You get what you pay for. Initially we were impressed with our Mother’s Day brunch. It’s a great location with nice decor and attractive grounds outside. Then we were seated at our folding table. The buffet ran out of plates for about 20 minutes. When the plates were replenished, many of them were dirty. I’m pretty sure they had just been sprayed off because the plate I got had whipped cream and chocolate sauce all over the underside. When we finished eating, we sat for at least 15 minutes before I could flag down a server to get our bill. Oystercatchers is more expensive, but the location is just as nice, the tables are better and the service is outstanding.

Enjoy fresh seafood and great atmosphere with a great Bay view. We met friends from out-of-state and enjoyed fresh seafood, comfortable atmosphere, attentive staff, and watched activity in the Bay waters on the other side of the expansive windows. Wait staff were friendly and attentive and answers our menu questions candidly. All four of us were pleased with food quality and services. The Rusty Pelican staff made a our brief wait for our friends comfortable in the spacious waiting area and provided bar service as we wished. Parking was close and spacious. The gazebo beckoned for enjoying the close up view of Tampa Bay — before or after dinner; maybe next time.

Nice place for a date or special event. Cant beat the ambiance. Happy hour is great only draw back you have to sit at the bar. I personally like the menu they offer and would be willing to pay more if they offered it at the table. They have all the classic. Coconut shrimp, crab cake, crab rangoon ect. All happen to be my favorites!! Also if your going to have a large group half of the people needs to be there to be seated. At happy hour this is really hard if everyone gets off work at different times. Also with large groups over 15 people can be a little difficult to get everyone at the same time. Other than that I had my Birthday party there everyone loved it!
