Food is pretty good and there’s plenty of it, but do not expect them to be helpful with food allergies. They do NOT have any special dietary needs menus and the wait staff will NOT comment or check on food ingredients. In fact, they state they are not allowed to comment on food ingredients related to allergies since they don’t want to be responsible. And they are not very nice about it. If you have special dietary needs and want to eat at a steakhouse, visit Outback. Also, we had a reservation but still had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. It wasn’t bad, but I won’t be going back.
The food at Cody’s is about quantity not quality. You will be fed well but better ribs are to be had up the street at Sonny’s. I was served the largest rack of baby back ribs in a BBQ sauce stew. There was no seasoning. No crust. No smoky flavor. I prefer smoked to braised ribs.
Always good, not great, but I haven’t had any exceptionally bad experiences. The staff has all been there for a long time and we find that comforting, they make mistakes from time to time but they are quick to fix them. We always go back. Never had a problem with service, never had too big of a problem with food. Fried green tomatoes are awesome! 1/2 price appetizers at the bar.
Good Food, Decent Prices, Theme Chain Restaurant. Codys is a chain and, as such, doesnt have a lot of leeway in the originality department, even if they use the word in their name. But, notwithstanding, overall their food is good and their prices are fair. The dining rooms are crowded and noisy. And one of their trademarks is a bucket of unshelled peanuts, for which you are supposed to throw your shells on the floot. Be prepared for that. Happy Hour serves 2 for 1 well drinks, and seems to go on for most of the day. We didnt order appetizers, but did have the French Onion Soup. It was salty, the crouton tasted stale, and It was served three minutes before our entres. This is a sore spot with me. Dinner made up for the soup. First, their dinner rolls are excellent, and served with honey cinnamon butter. My Sirloin steak was just over medium, and the baked potato was perfectly done. Others in my party enjoyed the baby back ribs with baked sweet potato and the broiled pork chop. There was a complaint about the T-bone being fatty and gristly, but I consider that normal for a T-bone.One good thing is that most dinner entres are served in regular and large portions, so you can order according to your preference. Service is okay. Except for the problem with the soup coming out at the same time as the dinners. Waitstaff should also be better trained. Our waitress twice approached our table while carrying dirty dishes from other diners. At one point she did this at the table next to us and was jostled, causing her to drop everything on the floor, breaking the dishes. So I guess she has now been trained.Of course Ill go back. The plusses far outweigh the minuses.
Easter dinner ruined, took an act of god to get the manager to intervene. One persons meal never came. Salads and apps came out then a few minutes later our meals. The air vent cooled off our food before we even got a chance to eat it. Were not whiners, we get they were busy but honestly our waitress shouldn’t even be washing dishes. To top it all of she hit one of over the head with her pad of paper albiet jokingly but way inapproprite. Then said bitch in front of my 9 year old. The manager was condescending to boot.
Great food!. Their food is great!! I am not a fan of the peanut shells everywhere, but I am willing to deal with it because I know we will have a great meal. My family and I have been here several times, and we have never had a bad meal, it’s great!! I get the filet and lobster tail, and it is always cooked perfect. The rolls are also my favorite.
Original No… but it is what you. Expect….Foods okay….peanut shells in the floor….I’m over that… someone has to clean that up you know……
