The first time I visited The Sponge Docks, my mom and I stopped for lunch here. Everything was great! Bloody Mary, Saganaki, and gyros. A great experience.Every six months for four years we kept returning as we loved their Bloody Mary and Saganaki. From today’s visit and the last three visits, I can say we will not return. No Bloody Mary mix so no Bloody Mary on the visit a year ago, no Miller Lite, so decided to create a new tradition of lunch, Saganaki, and dirty martini. Less than impressed, but decided to give it one more chance today. Lunch was decent. Always love the Saganaki. When we ordered a Bloody Mary and we weren’t told they didn’t have it, I was so looking forward to it. How disappointing! We were served the Bloody Mary in a beer mug, with an olive on the bottom. Service is average. We will not be going back.
BAD SLOW SERVICE. It took a long time to get seated with empty tables all over… then it took a long time for anyone to come to the table we were seated at to take a drink order.. maybe 25 minutes… the girl that seated us just kin of pointed where to go. Never asked if we needed refills on drinks. Never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert…WE asked about dessert and were told they do not have it… our app came out after our long long wait for our dinner. I do not recomend this place to anyone. They server (employees) have bad attitues and will say anything to make the situation your fault
Excellent food and staff15 Aug, 2013I would like everyone to know as of may 2013 the restaurant has been taken over by the original owners, we had a fabulous time and the food is amazing we will be back very soon
Opa!. Yianni’s Greek Cuisine is the gold standard in authentic Greek food. Very large portions and excellent quality. If Yianni’s isn’t on your list of great Greek restaurants it should be!

NO SHOW FOR AFFAIR. Planned a luncheon using Yiannis as our caterers. Went 3 times to firm all plans…gave large deposit. Gave copy of invitation to owners. They assured me everything would be perfect. They promised to be extra early and I had nothing to worry about. Day of the affair it started to get close to the time guest were to arrive and no Yiannis. After many phone calls to owners and staff still no food. Owners called and said how can I make this up to you…please I begged bring something for my guest to eat…he never showed up. Never trust these people they ruined my luncheon.
