This was one of my old haunts. Special occasions, celebrations, my parents knew this was where I wanted to go. Now, for whatever reason, the place seems to have lost its magic. When I went there it was a Wednesday night. The place was dead, at least in the bar area. There may have been two other people there. We ordered some stuffed mushrooms, fried squid and a large pizza. The fried squid was good, maybe a bit dry, but better then most places. The sauce that can came with them was a bit spicy. The stuffed mushrooms were covered in cheese, and while they tasted good I kind of felt cheated because the cheese masked the taste of the mushrooms and crab meat. The pizza was good it was a custom one with spinach, pepperoni, black olives, feta cheese and mushrooms. I think that they should have used more feta as I hardly saw any on the pizza. The wait staff were friendly. The time it took to get food was very long. A pizza takes time to make and bake from scratch, so o don’t blame them too much but we were the only ones there. This is sit down restaurant, and not a fast one. overall, I think that this establishment will no longer but at the top of my list. It’s not a bad place, but while the pizza is good, it’s not enough for me to pick solely based on this. The other offerings are more generic. Note this is for the bar section the dine in may be different.

Waited half an hour just to see a waitress. Waited an hour for appetizers. Some people got their food about 30 minutes before everyone else so there was awkward in between time to eat. We had to chase down our waitress twice just to get silverware and then again for the checks. When we finally got food absolutely everything was black because of how burned it was. Needless to say, never coming back.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BARTENDER! I went into CDB’s last night on Halloween and the bartender was a total b***h, I ordered a red bull and vodka and it tasted awful, honestly like chemicals, someone told me they have red bull on tap and if so what a horrible thing, totally flat and disgusting. After I had a sip of my drink and let another friend sip it to make sure my taste buds weren’t just off, I politely told the bartender my drink tasted strange and I would like to exchange it for a screwdriver, she asked me if I ordered the red bull and vodka and I said yes, following my answer she said well that’s what I made, I politely repeated myself and said I didn’t like it, she very rudely said well that’s what I made and I’m not making you another drink. I was so shocked I had to walk outside and have a friend deal with it, long story short, a manager was called over and new drink was made. CDB’s hires horrible bartenders, just because they have boobs and ass doesn’t mean they can make a drink or have good customer service.

Terrible customer service. The delivery time was well over 2 hrs. Food was cold by the time it reached me. The prices were somewhat steep, especially considering the length of wait. No attempt to make anything right was made. No apology for the extended delivery wait. I will not be a repeat customer.

NEVER going back. We have been going to CDB’s South Tampa for many years and were so sad when they shut their doors recently. Wanting a Italian fix we drove 40 minutes up to CDB’s on Fowler. We weren’t greeted, and when we flagged down a blonde hostess 10 minutes later, she informed us they had several large parties and so were very busy. She didn’t write down how many in our party or our name. She said it would be at least 20 minutes, wheeled around and disappeared. There were no other parties waiting and there were just the two of us in our party. We were going to have a drink at the bar and wait but noticed a sign at the empty hostess table that specified even seating at the bar required assistance. We were quietly discussing this between the two of us when somehow this same girl had bionic ears and stuck her head around the corner with a nasty expression of her face and loudly confirmed our discovery. First of all, she didn’t need to interject into our private conversation and she was so RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told her I was painfully aware we couldn’t grab a drink at the bar while we waited and we walked out. NEVER again!!

Great pasta. Had not been in many years – went many times in USF days, 70’s and 80’s. Had the seafood pasta, loved it
