Go here for the food, not the decor. I was traveling with friends in the Tampa area and our usual Indian place wasn’t open, so we decided to try this restaurant for the sole reason that it was the closest to where we were. I am so glad we went! We arrived about 30 minutes after they opened on a Sunday morning. When we arrived, there was only two other tables eating. We asked to see a menu and was gently refused- only buffet on Sunday morning. We checked out the buffet and was pleasantly surprised to see many vegetarian dishes that you usually don’t see on buffets like tindora fry (sauteed tindora with coconut, green chiles, and peanuts) and spicy dal tadka with spinach. The rasam was possibly the best I’ve ever tasted, and the curd rice was addicting. I did not try any of the meat dishes but my friends raved over the curry goat. There was mango lassi included on the buffet and our waiter also brought masala dosa, which turned out to also be included on the buffet.The buffet dishes were either not labeled or labeled incorrectly. The wait staff didn’t speak much English but were friendly. The credit card machine was not functioning. The place was clean but not decorated. I got the impression that this place mostly caters to other Indians. If you go to a restaurant to get good, authentic food and don’t care much about quick service or decor, try this place out. You won’t be disappointed.
