This review is for Lake Sumter, Cody’s. Worst waitress ever, not even close for runner-up – her name is Kris. Rude and confrontational -avoid her or just go someplace else! Shame on the manager Mel for keeping her on staff.
OK service. Food was ok, if you like greasy bar food. Kitchen was terribly slow. There were only a handful of other people there and we waited far to long for our food. No repeat visit from this customer.

The overall look and feel of the restaurant was pretty good, being next to the lake it has a great view. Wait staff was ok, i really didn’t get any refills on my drink or asked if i did need one. The food can be described as…eh… its not the worst but certainly not the best, food was under seasoned and lukewarm when i received it. This is my second trip to give it a fair chance and it had the same issues both times. Will not be back until they have a new chef.
Food’s good. Service friendly if not overly prompt. But they never have the beers I want from their list.
Really like this restaurant!. Some tables have windows looking out at the lake view, it has nice ambience. TV’s on, playing sports shows. Peanuts at every table, you can discard the shells on the floor (which is at all Cody’s). The food is really good here and service is too. Can be crowded & noisy on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, market days on the nearby Square. Live entertainment on the outdoor seating area, where you can smoke too.Daily happy hour.
