Not accomodating. Played golf with two foursomes and tried to get a table to accomodate our group. we were told that they could not put two tables together and we would have to sit as two groups of four, Not sure I understand how a resturant at a golf course is not able to accommodate groups of 8 or even 12. There loss we took our lunch business to beef o’bradys instead. Not going to last long if they can not accomodate the golfers playing at Havana
I had the twin lobster tails tonight with snap peas and mashed potatos topped with lobster bisque…the tails were the sweetest lobster that I have had in the villages with clarified butter so clear I could see myself in it! Paulie continues to add that special touch by getting to know his customers and bringing that touch of style to the atmosphere. The entire is worth having again next Monday! Oh by the way happy hour is a bonus !!!!29 Aug, 2014Awsome again….crab cakes to dye for excellent house wine and great that happy hour is 1/2 the price vs a 2 for 1…26 Jul, 2014New to you this reasturant is a far cut above the old Havanna’s that it replaced. Paul the new manager also adds a touch of class from the old school boardwalk Casio days in Atlantic city. Crab cakes are excellent, great steak and one of the few places to get duck in the villages. I have tried all of these items and they were great. A fantastic happy hour as well 1/2 off verses having to buy two. The dinner menu is more of what you would expect from the legacy group team than the lunch menu. The only thing missing was the sea salt from the oysters. The only place to get that is cold water east coast ocean cities….unless you add a touch of sea salt from a shaker!
Dissappointed everytime. The last two meals I had here in August 2014 were so terrible over cooked and unappetizing I just left them on the plate. I think their chef needs to come up with some dishes that are more main stream. This restaurant is beautiful and love to come here after playing Moring golf but since the menu is not very appetizing I end up at Mezza Luna for brunch. Why don’t you include some Quiche (I make an excellent one in less than 45 min). or interesting Omelets. Remember not everyone likes the food Hemingway may have enjoyed. Some of us just want a well cooked good meal and not a $9.00 hotdog!
Villager. Site says open all day, however we went before evening golf and they were not serving meals. Also last time we are there they did not offer pizza as the website suggests
My wife and I dined at the new Hemingway’s with another couple. Greeting was a 5, our server Robin earned a 5 also. She knew her way around the menu and when I asked that anchovies be included with my Caesar Salad, guess what – I got them! Jan had the Hemingway Cioppino and I the Shrimp and Grits. Both meals were excellent. All and all the improvements here are excellent. No question we will return. Be aware, the in-line menu has not been updated.
Hemingway’s. Food was just ok. The service was not so great. The server was very friendly but, Not so good at giving food out on time. Waited about 30min. to get in and wasnt busy at the time we went. There were only a few other tables being used. As for the food it took more than 30min. it took about 40min. and wasnt anything that we ordered that had to be cooked long at all. We got the food and food was cold. They had to do some of them over. Other than that it should be given a chance but at the same time these are experienced waiters and you would think that they would be quick to get the food out ……. I would rate from a star of 1-5 I would give it a 2 & 1/2
Restaurant has been closed and reopened as Hemingway’s at Havana CC. Service was good and food was excellent. Everyone needs to give this restaurant another chance.
