What a geat place- the drinks are on point with great pours and a nice whiskey selection and the food is simple and fresh with great ingredients. The atmosphere is casual and a little noisy but still worth it to check out. You are sure to have a great time and good food here. For the Villages this place is about a 4.3 in my book.

My wife and I had a late lunch at Honest John’s. Since it just opened about 3 months ago (after being remodeled from a closed TGI Friday stand-alone facility), this was our first visit here. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately (there were not a lot of diners present at this time of day). The ambiance and decor were excellent. Our waiter/server, Brian, was friendly, enthusiastic, responsive and very helpful. The menu is somewhat limited and a little pricey for a lunchtime meal. However, we both ordered the Angus cheeseburger, which was served with their Honest John french fries (our choice). The cheeseburgers were delicious. Grilled and cooked to perfection. The fries were also excellent. Both of us also had Arnold Palmer’s for a beverage, opting out of the large selection of beers, wines and bar drinks. Glasses were promptly refilled twice. Final bill for this relatively modest lunch with NO liquor was $30 plus our own 23% gratuity. I would give this review a 3.5 because of the limited menu AND above average prices but, based on the quality of the food and our overall dining experience, I am bumping up the rating of this restaurant and giving it an overall score of 4.0.
