Had lunch with friends and found the dish I ordered was far from tasty or what the photo on the menu depicted. I ordered loaded latkys. The picture showed 5 nicely formed potato pancakes loaded with bacon, cheese and sour cream. They were cooked to perfection on the menu photo. What I received was chunks of potatos fried to within an inch of their life (very hard, crunchy and dark dark brown) topped with sour cream. They actually looked like overdone American fried potatos not potato pancakes. Sorry, but this is the first time I have been disappointed by Toojays.
Consistently good. We have been here multiple times, but this was the first visit that was not dinner. Our friend was looking for an omelet for a late breakfast on Sunday so he called and they said they were still serving breakfast. We were seated at 1:45PM and found out breakfast could only be ordered before 2PM, so we just made it. We all had breakfast. My wife had a bacon and cheese omelet and was happy with it and liked that the bagel came with cream cheese. I had the Meat Lover’s Skillet and it was very filling and quite good. Our server was really good and we all think he will be ended up somewhere more upscale soon.
