There a several good choices for food in Vero and Almafi is truely one that will not dissapoint. The summer menu at $24.00 is also a spectacular deal with four cources and many options. I started with the stuffed shell and my wife had the stuffed mushroom. Both were well prepared and tasty. Next was a caesar salad that was fresh with thinly sliced parmesan. For a main course I chose the veal and wife had pot roast. Excellent portion sizes and the sauce was perfect. Desert was tiramisu and butterscotch cheesecake, gear to share. Even though all food was great, I was most impressed with the service. Our waiter Russell was attentive and knowledgeable. Staff actually new proper serving etiquette and brought new silverware at each cource. This I do find rare in Vero. The wine list, although not extensive, was well planned and fairly priced. They also made a good martini. My only suggestion would be to offer a wine paring option with the four courses. The resturant was full at 7:00 on Friday, so i would suggest reservations. We look forward to our next opportunity to dine at Almafi Grille.

Honestly this is another review where I’m not even sure where to start. I absolutely agree with the other diners that this place can be hit or miss. However given the extremely high prices for Vero Beach, there is no excuse for uneven service and food quality. Another point of frustration for me was that my husband and I went there for an anniversary dinner and we were talked up by our waiter into ordering nightly specials, although he never mentioned prices we figured that they would be in line with the other entree prices that were listed on the menu – $35 approx. Needless to stay we were almost knocked out of our seats when the bill came and his entree was $55 for a veal dish that was approximately 6 ounces of meat and a very small portion of vegetables on the side. As other reviewers have mentioned, this restaurant follows the Olive Garden mentality of trying to fill you up on bread so that you don’t notice that the portions are very small. Also the wine list is not that great, and extremely overpriced. For our mediocre anniversary dinner, we ended up spending over $250 for two people and left feeling frustrated, hungry, and overcharged. Both of us were rather put off by the waiter who was visibly upset with us that neither one of us cared to order dessert or coffee after this overpriced meal. Funny thing is, when we got home, my husband fixed more food for us since both of us were still hungry! Thank goodness we’ve been married for over 20 years or this could have been a real disaster of a night. Needless to say we will not go back there again, and we have tried to dissuade our friends from wasting their money at this overpriced olive garden style restaurant. Sorry.
