Excellent Food. We went there recently for our 37th Anniversary. The service was nice and understated. i started out with the Onion Soup which was full of onion and beef flavor and was not over-topped with cheese as is so common in many places. My wife had a Bratwurst appetizer which she said was excellent. For my main course I had the Crab Cakes Calypso. The cakes were full of crab with just the right amount of breading so it did not overshadow the crab meat. My wife had Swiss Veal Zurich Zuri Gschnatzlets with spaetzel which she proclaimed excellent. We both had tomatoes stuffed with spinach and cheese as a side which were firm and full of flavor. The Wine List is small but had good choices and we picked a nice German Riesling that was reasonably priced. For desert I had the Apple Crisp and my wife had Coupe Toblerone Chantilly which included a scrumptious chocolate sauce made from seven different types of chocolate. All in all an excellent meal and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. We will return.
I don’t like to say something negative about a restaurant that I have fond memories of, however, when they have a web site, it would be really considerate if they would go to the trouble of posting the fact that they are closed for vacation from mid September thru mid October. Then again, it isn’t even posted on the door. Of course tge web Site says no reservations necessary, so why would we call? Having driven up from Miami for our birthdays dinner, that’s a very frustrating fact. Not good, Melody Inn.
Old Europe Dwntwn Vero. Excellent dining choice w/ great service. Quaint,hard to find.Limited nearby parking. Classic French/Swiss. Dinner service only.
