Shandong Noodle House is my new Vero Beach favorite for Chinese food. Having tried several other places in the local area, I came across Shandong while making a pit stop at the Verizon Wireless store in the same shopping center.Curry chicken with fried rice and Russian soup – yes, you’ve found my Russian connection now – I added a spring roll for $1.00 more. Soup was an instant favorite and I enjoyed the other dishes as well.Clean, but small, restaurant on Miracle Mile, just west of Indian River Boulevard. I get the feeling that at the normal lunch or dinner time, this place is packed. It was busy when I arrived for a late lunch just before 3 p.m. Friendly wait staff and clean restrooms.Shandong Noodle House is closed on Tuesday. Please make a note of that before you make the drive. A large take out menu and many specials – including several family dinner specials – are available. I was going to order take out the other night but didn’t realize it was Tuesday.Bill LewisFort Lauderdale, Florida.
