I was excited to come here because I had a craving and I was on my way through town and I remember this cute drive thru bakery over 10 years ago. I remember how adorable the all-over pink packaging and silver plasticware was and the high quality desserts from back in the day, which were all so yummy! However, comparing my previous experiences to what I had today, it is like the quality has gone downhill here. The desserts were dry and hard, and excessively sweet, and although this is still a bakery, there was limited selection and the food didnt taste fresh. The plus side was the girl at the drive thru counter was very friendly and did try to help me with picking out things my family might want since nothing I had in mind was available. My main issue (other than quality) was this is a bakery but they had nothing with raspberry, chocolate, or strawberry? It was around 15 different types of brownies and bars, and only a couple of different cakes. Also the price is steep here, 4 desserts cost just shy of $20, which is terribly high for the quality of what was purchased. The size of the desserts have become smaller over time as well. I remember this place used to serve many different types of cakes and special concoctions back when I used to visit. They also do not have sugar free items and I know they had SF treats in the past. I really dont like writing negative reviews, so it pains me to write this. :(I can understand the high reviews, especially if visiting this place over 10 years ago, but not so much now. To everyone saying this is the best bakery around, I am glad you like it but for me this isnt what it used to be and I would recommend those on a trip or passing through Central Fl go to Yalaha, Florida bakery if you want a true bakery experience.

My mother recently passed away and Buttercup Bakery brought her favorite dessert to our house after the funeral. Thank you to the owners Cheryl and Audrey for always treating mom like family.21 Nov, 2013Buttercup Bakery makes my holidays special each time I order desserts from them. I have never been disappointed by the quality or the service. The person who said their brownie was stale must of visited the bakery at Publix.02 Apr, 2013Kentucky Butter Cake!. I belong to a group that drives around Florida to find the very best comfort food….and we drive a hour to ButterCup Bakery once a week to load up on treats! They use the best ingredients to make the most delicious desserts. I don’t get it – the prices are high, portions are not generous… $5 for a stale brownie – nothing special and not worth what they charge.
