Nice restaurant with nice outdoor on the water seating. Nice service and a great variety of seafood items to choose from. Fish n chips for around $9.00
Come hungry and thirsty. Rockin, raucous good time hang out. But they treat their flounder and grouper right! Fun place, particularly for a group of people looking for good, casual seafood in a high energy atmosphere!
Family time. While waiting to get a table… we had a blast watching the dolphins swim steps away from the restaurant. I came with7 people and everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered the blackened chicken platter,,,,it was huge and it was delicious. My 13 year old ordered a kids meal with a Shirley temple and she was thrilled. Service was good and we all had a nice visit. The other guests in my party ordered clam chowder, crab cakes, scallops etc… Very casual and kid friendly…. My family will definitely be back.
Nice place. Good food..good service …cute decor. Nice spot for outside dining and handicap friendly. Only thing that wasn’t so nice were the bench seats. A tad narrow…cuts off your circulation.
Perfect Basa!. We were on vacation in the area for a week, and since we are Fresh seafood deprived (other than Pittsburgh’s Wholey Fish Market), we determined we’d find a good, reasonably priced place to eat. I researched Yelp, looking for locals recommendations, and found JB’s Fish Camp. This place is a treasure! During our vacation, we ate at 2 places, with the majority being here at JB’s Fish Camp. We had early dinner on Nov 15, 16, 18, 19th. The weather went back & forth from being nice & warm to COLD. So, on the first few days, we sat out on the deck, watching the bay, & laughing at the dolphins. November 15th, our first visit, we came in from the sand parking lot, simple indoor eating area, with fish stuff decor. Very kitschy & funny. Since the weather was nice, & we had come in from cold, snowy Pennsylvania, we chose to sit out on the deck. We both chose the fresh batter fried basa catfish, fries & key lime cole slaw. We were in heaven. We had had basa before, from Wholey’s, but it wasn’t fresh like this. The batter was perfectly seasoned, never taking anything away from the fresh, delicately flavored basa. The fish was perfectly, perfectly deep fried each and every single time we had it, and we had it every single time we went, we were so in love with this! The servers were all friendly and helpful everytime, answering all questions. The restaurant itself is not fancy, it was a simple place, no frills, great prices, simple wood tables & benches. We didn’t have any of the appetizers, since the meal itself was plentiful. We came home, and dream of that basa fish, so perfectly made. I cannot praise it highly enough, it was just so perfect! Well, we ate there almost everyday, so that tells you something.
Not worth the price red lobster would have been better
Mixed Feelings for good food. First. I admit the food is typical beachside seafood, and it was everything we expected ( Soft shell crab sandwich and broiled seafood platters) and worth the lengthy wait on a weekend. However, if you order a side item, it should come with the entree… Sadly our hush puppies and fries arrived AFTER we were finished with our entrees! To add insult to injury, our sides were delivered to an adjacent table causing us to wait even longer; defeating the purpose of even ordering them. Our morale: order an entree and enjoy, if you want an extra side, beware of timing!
