Best restaurant in New Smyrna… great music and great service, even better food!!!It can be crowded but you have a nice place to wait. Drinks are always cold and food is always hot!
Let me start by saying service wasn’t terrible. For that fact alone, this place deserves atleast one star. I came to this resturant with my family for dinner closing our week long stay in NSB and although the food has 5-star prices, it is far from 5-star food. We ordered steak ($25), medium well, which came out seared on both sides but RAW in the center. We had also ordered the Shipwreck Special ($28), which to no suprise came out awful aswell. The Shipreck (a fine title for it might I add) consists of assorted seafood (shrimp, scallops, crab, and clam) covered in a white wine cheese sauce on a bed of vegetables and dirty rice. I recieved no rice, and EVERYTHING under the seafood tasted and REEKED of sea water. It was the most gut wrenching thing I’ve ever eaten. Bland, with a splash of seawater. Upon complaining to the waitress and ordering just some fries as I wpuld not allow my girlfriend to eat raw steak, we waited half an hour for a small order of soggy fries. I spoke with a manager and they removed only our drinks stating that sometimes the steaks are inconsistant and that there was not much else she could do. I would never reccommend this resturant to anyone. I wouldn’t even feed that food to my dog. I recommend you stay far from this place and it’s awfully priced ($90 between the two of us alone) awful food.
(3/7/2016) We got a private fishing charter that left out of JB’s for the day. Early in the morning, parking is ample, later in the day (lunchtime and on) the place gets pretty full, especially the bar and patio. This being Bike Week in town, the cars were booted from the front of the lot to make way for the bikes. We’ve been here before for charters and stopped in for a beer last time. We were going to stay and have lunch, but service was spotty and unfriendly, and the surfaces were rather sticky (did not bode well for kitchen hygiene), had our beer and left.
