Giving this a 1.0 only because zero is not an option. Very poor service. Was told that it would be 45 minutes before we received our meal. We were fine with the wait, but were hungry. Ordered 2 orders of catfish, a burger and an order of appetizers. Tables that came in after us were served…catfish. At the hour mark, we were told they were finishing up our order and it would be right out. Well 15 minutes passed, and the server came back out announcing that they had run out of catfish. We had not seen our appetizers nor the other meal ordered. Needless to say we were disappointed and left. I called back several hours later to make a to go order, and amazingly supposedly they had found some catfish to prepare and serve. When I called the second time, I asked for a manager. There was no manager to be found. Surprise surprise. No wonder the place ran like crap. God forbid someone actually do their job without having to be directed to do so. Needless to say, we will not return.
Great rib eyes ! Great service, very attentive.. We enjoyed our first visit and will definitely return. The rib eye melted in my mouth. The service was excellent and we never had to ask for anything as it was already being brought.
Excellent hole in the wall. Great food and great people. Ordered the cat fish and loved it, caught fresh each day out of the St. John’s river.
Rustic old joint right on the St Johns we came in by boat. Food was ok but I enjoyed the kind of folksy run down hole in the wall river shack atmosphere I will go back
Great Place. A true 1950’s style Florida Fish Camp.Come by boat or by car.Fried Catfish with the bones in was great.Cold beer, friendly locals make this a not to be missed stop in Deland.
Excellent catfish right on the St Johns river. Cold beer! A true fish camp atmosphere. Catfish basket with one side about $8. Service is OK-it is a fish camp.
