The good, the bad, and the very, very, ugly. The good: service was excellent, chips fresh and crispy, salsa has a good bite.The bad: spinach quesadilla was cold, spinach stayed separate from cheese.The very, very ugly: ordered the bean burrito, cheese enchilada, bean tostada vegetarian plate. No exaggeration here – bean tostada had 1 tablespoon of refried beans spread on it – that’s all. No lettuce, no pico de gallo, nothing. The bean burrito had two tablespoons of refried beans – that’s all. Nothing else. The cheese enchilada had cheese, not completely melted. Over the top of all three was poured, depending on how you look at it, either thick milk or watery nacho cheese sauce. When I asked for pico de gallo, they brought about two ounces and charged $.95 for it. When I asked for lettuce, they brought a half cup and charged $ .50 for it. I paid $ 9.74 for food I wouldn’t give my dog. The bright spot was – I will never again accept food of this low quality – I’ll do what I should have done then – refuse it.
Lunch. This was our first and last visit to Los Rancheros. I am not sure what the meat was in the taco and enchilado but both my husband and I thought it was not ground beef. It had absolutely no flavor and the meal was awful. We will not be back and we will pass the word to our Snowbird Friends this winter.THE MEAL SUCKED BIG TIME.,
Chicken Enchiladas!. Best chicken enchiladas I have come across in a long time! I substituted the white cheese (queso dip) for the red sauce on the enchiladas, and they were great. Definitely not your average, dry, flavorless chicken. The top-shelf margaritas were well-made also.
The best Mexican food in this area. Be sure to get the special Los Rancheros plate, I think it was #45? Share it with one or two others. It is like a sampler plate (3 plates !) with the tamal being my favorite part. And. It’s only $12! Unreal. Try it – you’ll love it I also loved the decor with the festive lighting and cozy spaces. We will definitely be back.
Good food and good service!
First time visit but won’t be the last. Food was great, service was excellent and a large top shelf margarita was the proverbial icing on the cake.
