Gelato was good, don’t know about the food. The service was mediocre, the prices were high but the gelato was very good (as expected). Overall, it is what it is.
Skip it. Recently visited this cafe when vacationing in destin. ordered gelatro and a coke. the coke tasted like water with a little syrup. No carbination what so ever. When I wanted to return after one sip…the lady behind the counter became very offensive and rude and the gentleman CURSED AT ME IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE.
Good, if you have money to blow. Spent this past weekend (3/10/12) at the Baytowne Warf with my girlfriend. After check-in, we walked through the village and spotted San Gelato and decided to have lunch there. I was impressed by the amount of items they offered, but I wasn’t impressed by their prices (little on the high side). I guess you have to take this into consideration due to the place it is located. We both went with combo meals which included an entre, potato salad, chips, or apple, drink, and a small gelato cone. Total for both combos came out a little more than $30.00.I had the Meserati sandwich (prosciutto based), potato salad, and nutella gelato. My gf had the veggie wrap and pistachio gelato. The staff was friendly and our meals were good, but for the price we paid, I feel we could have gotten more elsewhere. I think they should offer more gelato with the combo IMO.
Our new favorite thing–Gelato!. We just discovered the San Gelato Cafe on our latest trip to the Gulf coast. Even though it is located in a strip mall, the atmosphere inside the store is very cozy with tables for dining on the sidewalk outdoors, as well. Their gelato selection is excellent, and the friendly servers are eager to let you sample various flavors. The gelato was creamy and delicious–bursting with flavor. $4.50 for a large waffle cone (a treat on its own!) filled with a large single scoop. I recommend, no, I insist, that you pay them a visit when you get the opportunity! 4 out of 5 stars.
Had the chicken parmesan and the gelato was just like Italy. The crew were so nice and helpful it was a great time and would strongly recommend to others
Great Food and Amazing Gelato. The food is authenic and the gelato is amazing.Great customer service . I learned alot about the difference of gelato and ice cream..will tell my friends and i will keep coming back
Best gelato!,. This place was named in USA Today for best gelato in the country, and I agree! Their gelato and sorbet were great, so were their sandwiches! Very good for something different, not your typical meat and cheese sandwiches. Will definitely go back!
