If you have ever read any of my reviews, you know that I live just over an hour from the beautiful emerald coast of Florida. We drive down to the beach 2-3 times per month. So today my family and I decided to take a day trip to Destin for some Vitamin Sea. Bad decision. We arrived in Destin and literally after 2 additional hours of driving, we never found anywhere to park for a few hours just to have some time on the sand. So we gave up the search in Sea Grove and stopped to eat a late lunch at the first place we could find–The Steamboat Grill. Thank God we did! Yes we were starving (we skipped breakfast), but the food here was great! Hubby had the grilled cobia sandwich, my daughter had the grilled chicken sandwich, and I had the crab balls off of the appetizer menu. The remoulade sauce that came with my crab balls was the best ! Hubs and kid both really enjoyed their food choices as well. Food was a little slow to come out, but service by Jamison was good. Us sorta locals will most definitely be back! BUT We will rethink our day trips for time on the sand in June or July!

Pretty simple setup. Staff not outgoing really. The food was good but portions were mediocre. They don’t honor their advertising so if it says 3$ beer don’t believe it.
