Poor front house management. I have to agree with the other reviewers, the food is good but the service is the pits. We arrived and were promptly greeted and seated. After looking over the menu we ordered two coffees and waters. We received the two coffees but only one of the waters, no silverware so my date couldn’t stir her coffee. After looking over the menu for about another 10 minutes because nobody came back, I flagged down the passing hostess and asked for silverware so we could at least stir the coffee. The best way to describe our waitress was foggy and dazed. After about 15 minutes or so she arrived to take our order, we asked for some milk for the coffee and she had a 1000 yard stare which was a little strange almost like she was very confused by the whole situation. My date ordered the Gluten free pancakes which the menu lists as coming with 2 pancakes, but the waitress asked how many she wanted so she explained that she wanted 2 just like the menu. When the food arrived she got 3? Our waitress did ask if we needed anything else as she was walking away, was going to ask for a condiment but she didn’t give us a chance to respond before she engaged the table next to us in conversation. My food was pretty good actually, the kitchen seems to have it together, but the front of the house is in pieces and needs better management. They had a long out the door but couldn’t turn over tables due to slow service, we could of been out of there about 30 minutes before we were if they had just checked up on us as we were constantly looking for our waitress to even get our bill. After looking at our bill, we noticed that we were up-charged for extra pancake we didn’t order and my date didn’t finish so annoying. It seems this was the theme across several tables as I observed others expressing complaints or noting issues about the service. Funny just thinking about all the lost revenue they allow just because they can’t turn over tables quick enough and have a chaotic and inconsistent front of the house. If it wasn’t for the service we would probably return again because the food was pretty good.
This was my first time here, and it was honestly the best good I have ever had. Everything was very fresh and clean. And the staff was very nice and quick. I would deff recommend this place to anyone and I will be back!

Clean, Fast, Friendly, & Really Good. That about sums up our experience at Short Stacks after going there for the first time today. Didn’t know they were there and we are always looking for a clean and tasty restaurant for breakfast. Got a coupon in the mail, so we went there and we really had a nice breakfast. Got the build your own omelet with spinach, tomatoes and feta cheese along with an everything bagel. Husband got the same with mushrooms and onions and swiss cheese. We both really enjoyed them. Bagels and toast were really fresh, along with the vegetables we added. We will definitely be back there again.
GREAT FOOD…. But HORRIBLE SERVCE!!!! The food is delicious and plentiful. Love the menu. I have gone every weekend for 2 months, but always doubt my decision when it comes to service: they don’t barely visit the table, never ask how the food is, dot refill your drinks (u have to chase them down for service), and you ask for items & they forget. Unfortunately, the business doesn’t care about staffing professionals, just a bunch of high school kids that work on their weekends and don’t have experience or care to learn.
Nice atmosphere, very very friendly staff our waiter was excellent. Food was good and priced resonable. Would come back again.
