We are visiting. I prefer supporting local restaurants. Sometimes you find an experience beyond words. Sometimes you wish you had gone to a chain restaurant. In this case I wish I had heeded prior reviews. Don’t go. If a Mom and Pop place can’t make decent spaghetti and meatballs, why would we expect clam on the chowder, garlic on the bread, and sauce to be homemade? Olive Garden would have been a better choice tonight?
Will never go there again. Wait staff is very rude. Waited over a half hour for a take out order and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. All I ordered was pizza. Then when my order was finally ready, the waitress wasn’t even paying attention. She was too busy talking to another waitress. I had to tell someone that my order was done or god knows how much longer it would of sat there before the waitress came to get it. The owner was more worried about a football game that was on tv instead of even caring about what was going on in the restaurant. Not going to waste my time again on this place. Too many other good restaurants with good service in this area.
Very good food and friendly staff. Finally, after 16 months of searching for a decent tomato sauce and meatball in this area, I found Sweet Tomatoes. The calzone and the wait staff were delightful. I will happily recommend this restaurant to everyone. Linda Nolan
By far the BEST pizza in Melbourne….and I’m comparing it to New Haven, CT pizza. Wish you delivered, but well worth the trip. Thank you for producing quality product my whole family enjoys!
Best local pizza I have had! If anyone complains about this mouth watering pizza they must be working for the competition. Not fancy so you can wear your cut offs an flip flops. They don’t take credit cards, so bring cash.
I am fairly new to Melbourne and have found John’s a great place for pizza and sandwiches. The food is fresh hot and cooked just the way I like it. I would highly recommend it to all. They also have meals but I haven’t had the chance to try those yet but I will.
Pizza Order to Go. I can’t believe this. I just ordered a Vegetarian pizza and asked them to hold the peppers and the broccoli and substitute them with spinach and they told me it would be an additional $1.75!!! But I am still be charged for the broccolli and peppers though!!! TWO less items. Duhhh….That is not good business practice!! Do you want customers to order or not!!!!
