Definitely a hidden treasure, awesome cheap food.
Hidden Treasure!. Located in a shanty strip mall, Anita’s Mexican Grill is a hidden treasure! Don’t let the styrofoam, cheap prices, counter ordering, or location fool you – they have the BEST chimichangas and chicken tacos we can find! Though we haven’t ordered them, I have seen delicious shrimp dishes and fajitas being passed across the counter. Kids can order from a kids menu (nuggets for the picky kid served atop a bed of thin fries). They have a selection of mexican sodas in bottles (including corn syrup-free mexican Coca Cola). Super cheap and fast and always a pleasure to support a family business. Almost forgot the salsa – they have a yourself styled salsa bar – I can barely resist the temptation to fill a bowl and eat the salsa with a spoon! It’s that good – it’s fresh salsa with no thickeners.
