Very pleased. I am happy that I did not read the reviews before I went into this restaurant. They have just opened in their new location on village Boulevard, & I had been working in in the same plaza. I went in for a late lunch, and had very good food and very good service. I find it refreshing to walk into a restaurant and find items on the menu that I’ve never seen before. I had the escarole with sweet sausage and cannellini beans and it was delicious. The lentil soup was hot and good, and the beer I ordered was surprisingly two for one. Including the beer, I spent 15 for lunch. Well within reason nicely prepared, served quickly, and piping hot.I don’t believe that the other people made up their reviews, but I’m happy to say my experience was nothing like what they had. I will return with my family.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!. I went for lunch. Ordered a simple salad. After waiting 20 minutes, the waiter came to tell me that the restaurant was closed for lunch. I looked at him incredulously. After pressuring him, he told me that the chef had left. He had not started my meal. I asked to speak with the owner whom I was told was in the restaurant. The owner refused to come out and talk to any of the discharged patrons. A simple apology, a meal voucher, but nothing. I missed my lunch hour. The owner just does not seem to care either about her staff or her customers.
Don’t Go There!. This was by far the worst restaurant restaurant I have ever visited. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food to arrive and another half hour for the bread. The spaghetti tasted like it came from a can. The soup was thin and watery. The salad was not clean. The vegetables were soggy. The service was deplorable. The owner was condescending. The prices were much too high for what we received. My advice is to choose another restaurant.
The food was delicious and they have a whole store of Italian pasta and desserts that the owners import from Italy. Beware: the service is SLOW.
Been there many times….today she had specials of veal assabucco and a grouper …..both were cooked perfect….fish was moist and flavorful and the veal was so soft you didn’t even need a knife….very flavorful!
Worst Restaurant Experience Ever !!!. The owners, who don’t appear to have any real formal restaurant experience, booked a full restaurant for a concert/show, well over 100 people, insisting everyone be seated by 6:30. Out of ten people at my table only three were served dinner after waiting an hour and a half. Three hours later, near closing, the remaining guests at the table STILL WERE NOT SERVED!!!!! Countless people walked out. Those who were served were unanimously surprised at how bad the food was FOR EVERYONE. At one point I approached one of the owners asking could we please get a meal for a diabetic at our table. NOTHING !!!!! She didn’t so much as offer an apology. Instead she yelled at the poor waitress who could do nothing. For more than 100 people the owners had ONE person in the kitchen, oneof the owners, the other at a register to collect money because many people had to go and get their own drinks if they wanted it. People were one after the other walking out, not served after hours of waiting. If the music wasn’t so good the place would have been emptied.A 15.95 pathetic entree was the portion of an appetizer, tasteless, served without the pene but with a noodle we’d never seen, in a buttery sauce. No red sauce., No vegetable, no salad, no water.
Unbelievably Good Food!. This is the best Italian food we’ve ever eaten south of the Mason Dixon line. The sauce is sublime, the portions are huge and everything was delicious. The service was excellent and we had a wonderful time. Cannot say enough about the food. Brought back memories of my Nana’s kitchen. WOW! We will definately become regulars here!
