Yummy bargain lunch. Cafe Tuscano offers great lunch specials at under $10. The dining room is well appointed and clean. There are baked goods in the front section and dining is in the back. I had the eggplant lunch special and I will be back.
How is this place still open!!???. I went here to see if I could find a new favorite Italian spot near my house, but I am sorry to say this place got the exact opposite rating from my experience! I ordered take out with a few friends of mine. We decided to try a flatbread pizza, prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella Panini, Fried mozzarella sticks, and a couple of Cannolis. It only took about an hour and for the food to come out incorrectly. The flatbread pizza came out as a very thick, dry, bland Chicago style pizza we later found out when we got home. The prosciutto panini was so freezer burnt the color was slightly purple and the buffalo mozzarella had to be frozen or very old, as it was very dry, crumbly and pasty not at all like fresh buffalo mozzarella, the fried mozzarella sticks seemed okay, and the cannolis were okay if you don’t mind that they were melted by the time we received them.Needless to say this was a very disgusting experience, I will never set foot in this establishment based on their food. I go to a neighboring restaurant fairly often and see that they seem to be floundering as there are never any people inside. I would advise you to keep your distance!
