Okay food, convenient location. The menu at this place is a little boring. The pasta dishes are all pretty much the same with different shaped noodles. The food is decent, but not spectacular. I live in the same building, so eating here is very convenient. The pizza is a little greasy and my stomach has a hard time, so I stick with a salad or the penne vodka.
Great Deal in City Place. Came on a weeknight with out of town guests who wanted something quick and affordable at City Place. We sat outside since the south Florida weather is getting beautiful as the nights cool. We ordered the bruschetta and caprese salad to start, and the New Yorker and Bianco White pizzas. The bruschetta was really good and refreshing, with plenty of fresh basil and balsamic drizzle. The caprese salad had just the right proportion of fresh mozzarella to tomatoes, also with plenty of basil and extra balsamic for dipping. Both came out pretty timely. The 2 pizzas arrived a bit after, and were perfectly hot, cheesy and delicious. Those are 2 of their best pizzas, in my opinion. The Bianco was creamy with its ricotta cheese, and we added tomatoes to go with the spinach topping as well. Fantastic! The New Yorker is also one of our favorites with the fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. Our service was pretty attentive the whole time, even tho we were seated outside. A manager even came out at one point, checking all tables were happy and content. Seems like someone’s reading their comments and trying to turn the place around, as all the staff we encountered seemed friendly and smiling. We would definitely come back, especially great to visit when you don’t want the long waits and pricey dining options at City Place. Place has been here since City Place first opened, and it’s easy to see why.
Worst service I’ve ever had from hostess to waiter. Didn’t try the pizza but the appetizers were awful. They don’t even make their own fries.
Avoid. Pizza is not very good. The pizza is made with cheap product, and it shows. There are many places on Clematis that are far superior. I live around the corner and wont go there.
I love the pizza here! Always fresh and so delicious. Nice atmosphere, service isn’t always great but the food is good enough to keep coming back. Definitely recommend.
Good Times at City Pizza. We reserved ahead for 15 . It was my son’s 15th birthday. Our waiter was great, really nice and funny too! We ordered garlic cheese bread and greek salads tos tart. We had the Brooklyn, a couple of plain cheese, pepperoni and the Mediteranian (comes with artichoke hearts) City Pizza excels at pizza, the pizza were so good, and that chewy crust.great night, great food, great waiter, can’t beat it!
Great local spot in City Place!. In the mecca of chains that is City Place, City Pizza stands alone as a local business swimming against the current. We visited recently and were pleased with all our orders – pizza, stromboli and italian sub. Service was good as well. Prices were cheap especially considering where we were. Highly recommend City Pizza as a great alternative to the touristy others in one big tourist trap.
