The Best. In our search for the best food and service after our regular place closed down, we choose Okeechobee SteakHouse! From service to drink to salad to the number one steak in town with a casual and classy environment mixed in one. There is no better place for extraordinary memories. Do you want the best? Go to Okeechobee SteakHouse!
Great service and food. This steakhouse has been owned by the same family in the same location for 65+ years. That alone is reason enough to try this place. The restaurant is not brightly lit and the ambiance is as intimate, or not, as you prefer. From the time your server shows you the meat tray, so you can decide which steak to order, until you finish your last swallow of coffee, you understand how this place has survived all these years. The beef is tender and flavorful and cooked to perfection every time. The seafood is always as good as you’ll find anywhere and better than most. The chicken entrees as well as the pork chops are incredible. These dinners come with a huge salad or a salad bar which has the freshest produce and homemade dressings as well as blocks of cheese to cut yourself to garnish your salad. I have been here many times and have yet to be even slightly disappointed by the food or service. I highly recommend the Okeechobee Steakhouse to anyone who desires a completely enjoyable dining experience.
Yum!. I have always enjoyed my meals here, especially the fresh fish. Never a dissapointment! I especially enjoy the lunches. They make a great cheese steak. The bread was to die for. Thank you Okeechobee steakhouse for all the birthdays and business lunches!
Great Food!. I can’t believe some of the reviews I’m reading. This restaurant is not some newcomer onto the scene. They have been in business over 50 years and will stay around for many more to come. EVERY dining establishment can have their ‘off’ days, but I can tell you one thing: I’ve eaten here more times than any other person submitting their reviews, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal from Okeechobee Steak House. My parents would bring my sister and I here for dinner starting in the 70s and I’m still a frequent patron. True, the interior has not changed much (new carpet) but that’s part of the charm. If you are unsatisfied with something you ordered-SPEAK UP! They will gladly make it right and even give you a free dessert or coupon for $$ off your next visit. The prices have gone up dramatically in the past few years, but so has everything. For a special dinner out, the Okeechobee Steakhouse can’t be beat. Take it from a true local.
Good place for an occasion. I have been here many time mostly on an occasion of some sort. I dropped him once for lunches and had a great burger, however I paid too much for it. They have a good birthday deal. I am not much of a red meat eater however I have always liked there is one fish selection. That is one seafood selection other stands fried shrimp. they tend to over do it on Seabass, which I believe is much overrated.Service is usually very good in the old style. It is cozy and dark. Their salad bar sucks, especially since now they make you pay for Gorgonzola.
Brilliant Restaurant. Best steakhouse in Florida. Wonderful!!!!
Go somewhere else!. Maybe I was just unlucky – but both mine and my friends dinners sucked! Appetizer of stuffed mushrooms – super soggy mushroom while the crab was dry. And the steaks had an overwhelming taste of grease. I’ve eaten far better meals at longhorn steakhouse for 1/4 the price – heck, I’ve had better quality food at burger king. The waiter was nice and professional, but that doesn’t makeup for the overpriced, bad quality food. The meals cost about the same as Seasons 52.. I don’t know how they’re still open.
