Very pretty chic restaurant serving authentic Italian with a slight twist on certain entrees. Prosciutto appetizer was a delicious slightly different version of Prosciutto e Melone. Could have sliced a little thinner. The homemade Bucatini alla Martriciana was also very good. Enjoyed the almond cookies at the end too!
Delizioso!!. Everything at Ristorante Santucci is made to order fresh in the kitchen. The ambiance of this modern sleek restaurant will make you feel like you are dining on Lincoln Road in South Beach, Miami. The delicious gourmet italian cuisine will simply melt in your mouth with every bite. I had the hearty Tortellini in Brodo soup to start and the flavorful Papardelle ai Funghi Tartufo as my entree. If you like Cafe Sapori in West Palm Beach then you will love Ristorante Santucci. I am so lucky to live in an apartment building with such an amazing restaurant in the lobby!
Bad representation of Italian food. Been there four times now and pasta is always overcooked and the meals are strange. Ingredients don’t seem to go together. And they over-complicated things. Dishes too salty and a pasta with pistachio nuts was so disgustingly sweet, we could have had it for dessert …..if it had tasted any good. Ordered a side vegetable twice now – and have never received it – but naturally, they were on the bill. Olive Garden a better alternative.
Shocking. The decor was beautiful upon arrival. The service was terrible! We ordered the sliced veal with capers, which came out with a weird fishy tuna dressing. The dish was served cold, but the server told me this was a hot dish. We sent it back immediately after it arrived at the table. The server took it back to the head chef( which is also the owner) and he became furious! This was such an awkward moment due to the open kitchen and the ability to see him turning red and yelling at the server and sending her back to the table. She said their was nothing she can do for us because the food had been ordered. We were in shock and told her to please remove the food from the table. We had not had much time this evening due to our show at the Kravits at 8 pm. We then ordered the shrimp with berries, which was nothing short of raspberry reduction tossed with 4 small shrimp. Very disappointing but we suffered through it because we were starving. At this point we felt so awkward because the chef was starring at us. We just kept sipping on bottle of overpriced Rosso di Montalcino. We asked if they can send out our entrees as soon as possible. The trio of grilled fish arrived with much disappointment. Their was salmon on the plate, which the server DID NOT mention, a piece of dried out swordfish, and over fatty mackerel. This dish had not one bit of sauce or flavor to the plate. Not even a color with garnish. The owner decided to charge us for EVERYTHING, although we had only drank the wine and barely at the shrimp. Terrible experience overall and will NEVER return. Bad business, along with Poor guest satisfaction… BEWARE, looks are deceiving when you first walk in!
You’ll need reservations. In brief: it isn’t going to take long until you’ll have to make a reservation for dinner 2-3 weeks ahead of when you want to dine here. It is going to become a well-known, well-reviewed restaurant that will be attracting a lot of repeat diners. My wife and I had dinner here at the beginning of April, 2014, about two months after its opening. Notably, we usually stay away from restaurants that have been open only for a short time, but in this instance, the operations were smooth and no real glitches in service. It’s obvious that there are professionals in charge here and they care about the details. As to food: My wife started with the mixed greens salad. She said it was OK but nothing exceptional. I started with the tortellini soup. It was terrific. For entree, she had the bronzini — I shared: it was excellent. That is not a casual comment. It tasted clean, done just right, really good. I had the clams with pasta. I have never seen a comparable dish with as many clams — not a few more clams than you would expect, but a ton more. It, too, was excellent. We shared a unique tiramisu — if that is your thing, order it. The buzz from the tables around us and from what we could see at this wonderfully designed facility was pretty consistent with our own reaction: people enjoying dinner. Not cheap; a little on the high side; not as expensive as it could be; professional service. There were just a few empty tables on Saturday night in season. That will not be the case soon. Go while you can still get in without a long wait.
Disappointed. The restaurant has a nice ambience and our server Giavanni was very attentive. The food was the disappointment. If you rated the taste based on the amount of salt they put into their dishes on a scale of 1 to 10 it would be an 11. Even the olive oil was salty. The salad was skimpy and expensive. Our main dish portions were good but the taste was overwhelmed by salt. The prices were high and the value was poor. The hype of using only the best ingredients and everything is imported was not evident. We will not be going back.
Really like this place. Friendly service, superb wine, and delicious pasta. Definitely worth a return trip.
