First let me clarify that we have been huge fans of OSI restaurants for many, many years. One of our children worked at several of their restaurants in 2 states. Tonight by far was the worst experience we have ever had. We were asked (twice) if this was a special occasion and we explained that yes, we were celebrating the marriage for our son & daughter in-law. There was never one mention of the event or token for them. (We know they do give a box of chocolates for special celebrations & saw them handed to others.) The service was so painfully slow it was beyond belief. Not one mention to us from the server about it. We watched as tables of upset guests walked out. Other tables had several visits by management to apologize. We sat there watching all this and we had been there quite a bit longer. Finally one manager came by and he acted apologetic but at the same time very sarcastic. He asked what we wanted him to do. We asked for nothing and just left. A terrible way to spend well over $300 and feel so very disappointed. Never again. They totally blew it for the last time with us.

Great food but crappy service. I was probably staring at an empty beer glass for a good 10 minutes before my waiter finally opened her eyes/came to her senses to ask if i needed another.

Stellar. Dined at Fleming’s for the first time last night and had a wonderful time. We had made a reservation and had no problems being seated as soon as we arrived. The atmosphere was inviting and warm without being uncomfortable or snooty.Their menu is mostly la carte, and so things can get a bit pricey but they do have some specials and it is worth it from time to time to treat yourself, if you can.We did not order any appetizers, but by husband and I each ordered a salad to start. I opted for the wedge, and it was great! Sometimes I am disappointed by a wedge salad at a steakhouse, however Fleming’s was top notch with not only blue cheese crumbles but also a generous chunk as well; caramelized onions and a big piece of crispy bacon. I’d go back just for a wedge salad, please and thank you. Husband had a Caesar salad and said it was good as well. For dinner, I ordered their special: 6oz filet over mashed potatoes topped with a crab cake and asparagus. I didn’t order an additional side because well, that was plenty! I will be honest and say I have had more flavorful of filet at other restaurants, but it was not bad. The crab cake was honestly the best crab cake I have ever had. Filled with generous amounts of crab, I hate when you get a crab cake and its more filler than crab; this was NOT the case at Fleming’s. I was more than satisfied and my tummy was in a gluttonous coma.Husband had the NY Strip with a side of french green beans. His steak {which I naturally had a bite of!} was very, very flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium. His green beans were under-cooked, but when the manager walked by, he did mention that and within MINUTES, a new side was presented and he said they were perfect. So they took care of us right away, even for something as simple as green beans. We did split a ginormous piece of carrot cake afterwards, that was good. Not the best thing ever, but we didn’t go for dessert, we went for steak. We left, bey-ond full, happy and satisfied. Well done, Fleming’s. We will definitely be back. casadecrews.com

I have been to Flemings on 2 occasions. Once, at the bar after work during happy hour, and the second time with my husband for a romantic celebratory dinner in the dining room. Both times, I was not impressed with the rather slow service. In the dining room, for spending nearly $100/person, I expected more. You can go to Bern’s steakhouse and get much better service and more food (like actually including a soup and/or salad with your entree) for your money. If you come here, I’d recommend you go during happy hour at the bar. You at least spend less for the slow service.

Decadent. If you can accommodate $100 per person (tax & tip included) for arguably the best filet mignon w/ gorgonzola cream sauce, wedged salad loaded w/ crumbled bleu cheese, red onions, & cherry tomatoes (but no bacon?), onion rings & shoe string potatoes, & quality cocktails/wine, then this is your place. Items less than memorable would have to have been the crusty onion rings (over-fried & lots of breading) & the bread & butter (no taste to either of the infused butters). On the other hand, the cocktails (bourbon & 7) were as stiff as I’ve ever had.My wife’s crab cakes were long on crab w/ minimal breading, & my filet was broiled perfectly per my request. Service was engaging & very attentive, i.e. waitress & 2 assistant servers. All in all a great experience, but save your money; everything’s a la carte. Probably the best deal offered by Flemings is their sunday prime rib three course meal w/ salad, 1 side, & dessert for $29.95. Such a deal!
