They used to be great. Now it is tepid, mushy, nastyness. I wouldn’t mind so much if the help was friendly. Ill never go there again.
Solid Chinese. This place is definitely not fancy and it appears most of their business is to go but it’s all about the food and this place produces very, very good Chinese food. It’s far better than your usual standard Chinese takeout place. The hot and sour soup is nicely spiced and the shrmip egg foo young surprised me by containing fairly large shrimp. Their on-line ordering system is quite efficient and they do deliver. Convenient to West Shore, West Tampa and SOHO.
Fast Delivery!. I used to eat here all the time when it was on S. Howard in Hyde Park. It was my favorite Chinese restaurant so I was sad to see it go. When they moved to their new location we ordered delivery a few times. We were very disappointed every time and so we started looking for a new place. It’s been years since we tried them but recently we were left a flyer and decided to try again. We have ordered delivery from them 3 times in the last 4 months a and every time was great! They have a lot of great veggie options that other places don’t offer. Delivery is fast and cheap! It is American style Chinese but if you like that you’ll like Ho Ho!
Good Food, makes up for location. The food is good, which is great since we have always liked them since they were at their old location. The location and building is pretty scetchy, but if you can deal with that, you can order above average chineese food.
Ho Ho in NoHo. When they closed in Hyde Park and took over a location on North Armenia and Columbus that had seen so many different restaurants open and close, people questioned them. But HoHos continues to dish out great Chinese favorites at reasonable prices. The dining area is nothing fancy but adequate. Most of thier business is take out anyhow, We love the veggie lo mein and fried rice. Egg rolls are also excellent as is the orange chicken. From SoHo to NoHo, HoHos still has it!
Better known as Ho Hos To Go, this is our fav take out joint for Chinese. Everything we have tried has been very good. Portions are huge; we eat for days off of two dinners. Personal favs are General Tso ckn and the wonton soup. Oh, and they do not use MSG…a huge plus!
