There is NO buffet on the weekends. This is a hoax to get people in the door, because once they are there, the customer doesn’t want to go looking for another place. The service is poor. The food is pretty good.
Bad service!!! that too with an attitude. This is in a gas station on Kennedy Blvd near the Westshore Mall. It is a small place very hard to find seating during weekday buffet lunch. My experience: Once me and my friends decided for a take out. The person gave us each a small box which can fit small portions of any 3 dishes. After getting the 3 dishes we asked for take out pouch for naans. With an attitude he asked us to try to fit them in the box itself. How would one eat naan all mushy. Then he brought us one pouch and we were 3 people. We asked for 2 more and after protesting and with an attitude he got 2 more. Then we had to ask for a carry bags, then ask for spoons and napkins. What a moron. Not sure if these people show this attitude to only Indians. You can get a glimpse of the kitchen near the cashier. It was DIRTY like hell. Well what one except a kitchen to look like in a gas station. We paid but dumped the food in the garbage in the gas station itself. I would NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO GO THERE. NO SERVICE. ATTITUDE. DIRTY. If you really want Indian food please look for a decent place where there is good service with a SMILE.
PATHETIC SERVICE. Food was decent, but like other reviews said, it was difficult to find the meat in the dishes. Attitude was terrible and we waited forever for service and food. When they brought us tea, they gave us a single spoon. No alcohol so we asked if we could bring our own. You’d think we slapped them in the face, they were so insulted. They brought us water with maybe two ice cubes each in a cheap yellow plastic cup. They never even asked if we needed more. Taj is so much better. We won’t be back.
Perhaps I spoke (wrote?) too soon. I originally wrote a very complimentary review, but with a heavy heart I mush write this follow-on review. Please understand my comments are about service, not food. The food at India’s Grill is superb, but I must share my recent experience so people are aware. We placed a take-out order for two dishes and some naan and my wife picked it up on the way home from work. When she got home we discovered she was given the wrong order, a single dish with naan – honest mistake, but she’s 22 weeks pregnant and when she gets hungry, it’s eatin’ time. We called the restaurant to explain their mistake and they would not deliver the correct order. Not great, but we still wanted our food, so she snacked on some naan and we drove back to the the restaurant. I handed over the incorrect order, but they did not have the correct order ready, so i had to wait for them to finish it. Then things went from inconvenient to strange. They brought out the order and asked for my card. Perplexed, I confirmed they wanted me to pay, and then responded that we paid for the first order and given they wouldn’t deliver and we had to drive back, they should give us this meal at the original price. The gentlemen began repeating he couldn’t give me something for free (how is it free if we paid them?) and despite me continuing to explain they needed to make up for their mistake, he would not concede any fault and instead blamed my wife for the mistake! Imagine that? With this comment being the last straw, I calmly explained I was either leaving with the order as originally paid or I would need to talk to his manager about his horrible customer service. He responded he needed my name and number so he could tell the staff to never serve us again. We certainly enjoyed the meal afterwards, but the appalling customer service was completely uncalled for. India’s Grill needs to learn a lesson.
The garlic naan is like eating angel wings. The Pepper Chicken, Crispy, spicy, delicious. Chicken Tikka Masala? Addicting. Dip some angel-wing-naan in the sauce and float away to stomach-heaven. The chicken Tikka Masala was great and the Biryani rice was good. I had the Medley Phaal and had it five chilies hot. Don’t let the looks or location deceive you. Yes, it’s adjacent a gas station (as in convenience store on one side, car wash on the other).
Twice. Dinner and lunch buffet. First of all, the decor is horrid. Seriously. Service is staccato. Food is fairly pricey for the locale and ambience. It is spicy which we love. Ordered dinner hot and it was that. Very unappealing presentation of the food. Not a lot of meat swimming in the copious amounts of sauce for whatever you ordered. It was worse in the buffet. Butter chicken may as well have been butter chicken soup. No chicken at all. Weird that you cannot order iced tea. Either canned soda or lassi. We gave them two tries and will not be back. No extra napkins anywhere to be found.Atmosphere 1.5 out of 5Service 2 out of 5Food. 2 out of 5Overall 1.75 out of 5Not worth it. Drive a little for better.
Good indian food. I know indian food. This place is pretty good.
