Pleasant Surprise. Stopped in for an ealry dinner one weeknight. HH was on and we got some $1 Nigiri and a roll along with Kirin on HH prices. Also Panang Curry and Duck Yum salad along with Thom Kha soup.VERY pleasantly surpirsed by the food quality. It was well above average and may be the best Thom Kha and Duck Yum I have had. One key for them is that they put STUFF in everything vs. other places. Thom Kha had something in every bite as opposed to all broth and no goodies you get a lot.Service was family style friendly. I am a fan now and will be back soon for more comfort food of the Asian persuasion. One more trip and may hit the fave list.

Okay Food, Great Service. I came here at around 7:30 on a Friday, by myself. I was greeted with a warm smile and immediately shown to a small table. The atmosphere was intimate: small areas separated by partitions and decorated with plants and other Japanese-inspired decor. The lighting was soft, and the noise level was moderate. I didn’t feel awkward being alone-which is hard not to feel in any restaurant. The server was excellent. He was smiling the entire time, attentive( but not overbearing) and brought my food as soon as it appeared on the sushi bar.The sushi was okay. And I premise this by saying that I have a favorite sushi place and may be biased. I ordered the tempura tuna roll and the monster roll. The tempura tuna roll had tuna, crab and avocado-no rice-and whole thing tempura-fried. The tuna was completely cooked through-which to me was not very pleasant. The monster roll was more successful, including tempura shrimp and cream cheese, then topped with spicy crab. The rolls were average size and priced a little high (for the size and ingredients). Overall, I would say an average sushi joint, higher-than-average prices. But the service was warm and friendly, and the restaurant was lovely.

Love it. My fiance and I have been to JoTo 4 times over the past couple years. 2 of the times have been in the past week! Their new menu is wonderful. The first two times we ordered the teriyaki chicken / teriyaki scallops. It was fine but nothing special. We decided to try it again last week and let me tell you – the Thai is the way to go! I ordered the Pad Se-Ew with chicken and he ordered the Drunken Noodles with chicken. Definitely the best Thai food I’ve had in Tampa, and that’s coming from a girl who was very loyal to Lemon Grass. Can’t wait to go back!

Heading to Joto tonight. Always had a wonderful experience, not nervous about the new menu, hope I have enough cash for the tip! Lol

Sadly, they changed the menu. No idea why. It is not nearly as good as before. Am no longer going after 20 years.
