One’s expectations & standards of performance naturally increase w/ the price of the purchase. This obvious phenomenon said, the place just doesn’t measure up.Oh, sure it’s a beautiful restaurant, staffed w/ many waiters in professional uniforms, but for $75-$85/diner one isn’t amused w/ overcooked, dried-out shrimps & scallops or irregular service. I had to wait well into my main course for my second mojito, ordered 20+minutes earlier. On the upside the beef steaks were juicy, flavorful, & cooked-to-order, but one can achieve the same results at home on the barbie w/ Costco’s filets @ $13.99/#.The shoestring fries & lobster bisque were good. There were distinguishable bits of lobster in the bisque actually. A rarity in these parts. We wouldn’t hurry back.
Great meal.. Just came back from taking the family to Ruth Chris for dinner. The food was outstanding. The service was wonderful. The wine list was outstanding. Just a great complete meal. Skip berns the food and service is much better at CHRIS RUTHS.
Steak and Surf. T-Bone Steak and Lobster
Overall good, with some hiccups…. Had the chance to do Ruth’s with friends on a Tuesday night. The place is exactly what you’d think of old school high end steakhouses. Vaulted ceilings, big chandeliers and white table cloths. The waiters and waitresses were great. The service was exceptional. We shared the calamari and fried lobster bites as an appetizer. Both were good but the lobster bites were amazing. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and my wife the filet medallions and shrimp. Both steaks were served piping hot and while ordered med-rare mine was far closer to med-well and my wife’s steak was also overcooked. This left them a bit tough and while flavorful they were not as moist you should expect. Some people would have complained about this, and perhaps we should have. Oh well…The sides of asparagus, chipotle potatoes and the lobster macaroni and cheese were all quite tasty. We finished the meal with the bread pudding which was spectacular.Overall, this was a good meal. The only rub here is that the signature item (the steak) was the low point of the meal.
Went for a first date. Had a great time! Service was excellent. My salad, steak wine and dessert were all delicious!
Fun night.. Tried the sushi at the bar, it was VERY good but a tad expensive and would have it again. Our server Tony was excellent for our dinner. I had the filet and King crab legs…..would not get that again, the crab legs were TINY. But the filet was the best I’ve had, so next time will just get the steak. My husband had the NY Strip and enjoyed it. We had fries and asparagus for our sides and both were great. We split the chocolate sin cake and coffee for dessert, it was good but I was too full to enjoy it!
Delightful I must say. Drinks, food and service. I’ll definitely come back again.
