Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Although friends had said good things about this place in the past, our experience started when we were seated. The aroma of ammonia in the air reminded me of that litter box aroma you get at your cat lovers friends house. We ordered a coffee and a water with lemon, 1st sip was met with the flavor of bleech, as though they forgot to rinse the cups after washing them. We made the staff aware and they quickly responded with new drinks without the bleech additive. Our main features finally arrive! I ordered the eggs Benedict and my partner had the breakfast sliders. Please be aware that these entre’s have a $10 per plate price tag. I should have known what we were in store for when the 1st thing the server placed on the table was a bottle of catsup. The food was as though the cook just went to the local saveway and bought bags of the cheapest frozen ingredients, then just dumped them on a plate before kissing them ever so slightly with microwave radiation. The server was obviously embarrassed by what she was serving the paying public and with almost no prodding, very kindly comped the entire meal. We then headed home to brush our teeth of the bleechy aftertaste and decided on another place for lunch.
Confused. the music was cool, the host looked like a guest, no server for 15 minutes and the bus boy led me to a guy at the bar drinking a beer to find a table?
No bueno. The food tasted like a spinoff of Applebees… which is pretty scary
MY FAVORITE IN TPA!!. The Bungalow is my favorite restaurant in all of Tampa Bay! Every time I am back home the family know’s it is off to the Bungalow. I recommend the fish taco platter!! Service is great and never disappoints.

Don’t bother. Ew. Was really looking forward to trying after driving by for so long. Husband and I finally made it for lunch. WORST lunch I’ve had in a long time, counting McDonalds. First frozen margherita came out and it tasted like a watered down lemonade from a child’s lemondade stand. Ok. Sent it back for a mango margherita the waitress said they are more known for. Same thing. Watered down, bland, no flavor and about a teaspoon of alcohol. Then I ordered fish and chips and while it was a lot of food and itinially looked nice, the moment I took I bit I realized the oil had been too hot. The fried crust was a little dark and the fish was a gelatinous disgusting mess. My husband had the burrito which was not bad. Maybe they should hire a better chef or stick to Mexican food. This is terrible and we won’t be back. Service was fine, decor was nice. But, I go for the food and there is just too many good places in that area and around Hyde Park that have GREAT food to put up with this.
Over it.. The hype, the small space, the parking, the noise, I’m over it.
