You’re here for the view…. …such as it is. Bikers, truckers, and travelers are the main customers at this chickee hut bar/restaurant. NOT a good place to be on a rainy day! Food is better than you’d think it would be; burgers and media noche sandwiches are reliably tasty. But NOTE: a gratuity is added to all food orders — as this is not common in the US, it caught me by surprise.
Thats not right. I agree with the other review. A tip is money you give for good service, not something they take out on their own. That is ridiculous. That is stealing. The service is terrible. The waitress have attitude and act like it is a big hassel to serve you. I can say the food is good, but it isnt that good when they take out their own tip. I can see if it was a group of 6 or more, but to take their tip of 18% for two people is not right. There should be a law against that. Cafe 27 needs to change their policy…
