I had a great time at Las Tapas even though their vegan options were severely limited. Please understand that tapas are meant for sharing and are just small appetizers so order up. Some dishes they offer here are larger and will serve one but for the most part, they are small dishes.Our server was awesome and the sangria they had made fresh really hit the spot!We will return, I’m sure.

Poor Service. Decided to try Las Tapas after hearing favorable comments from friends. Went in at 6 PM and was seated right away. Half the tables were empty. Waiter finally showed up 10 minutes later to take beverage orders. He complained about being busy with too many tables. Ordered a beer. Several minutes later he came with water. I asked about the beer, and he said one of the bartenders had called in ill. After another 10 minutes went by we told him we were ready to order, and he said he’d be right back. He was having a problem at another table where a manager was involved. He came to take our order and was called away again. Still no beverage. We got up and left and on the way out told the manager there had been service problems. He seemed unconcerned. What would they do if the restaurant was full.
I have never been to a tapas place I didn’t like until Las Tapas. I was really looking forward to trying this place with friends because there is not a tapas place even remotely close to us. I was thoroughly looking forward to this being a good restaurant and the menu looked like it had potential, but was huge. We ordered clams, calamari and tuna tartar. They were all terrible and obviously frozen. They gave us a bit of the haddock which was pretty good, but that was an experiment that was not in the menu. The service was also extremely slow and it took us 40 min to get our drinks.
Tapas in Brownwood. The menu for the tapas is very large and portions are small on some and large on others. Entre dishes are very limited and may require 30 mins. to prepare. Adult beverages are buy one get one free everyday. I would revisit to try more items and to try the brewery once opened. I did like I wasn’t over stuffed and shuffled over to the ice cream shop for a sweet treat.
