Food & Service. Breakfast, lunch & dinners. I’ve never had a bad experience. We eat there one-three times a week. Thursday Stuff Peppers, THE BEST… Excellent service. Owners wife can be a little strange but not bad.lolVery clean including restrooms…
Super Welcoming Place. This diner is in the heart of Wilton Manors. It is not a standout location. The owners and staff were very pleasant and eager to make it a pleasant dining experience. The dining room somehow imparts such a warm feeling that I can tell that is the main reason it remains in business after 21 years. Two people for lunch: BBQ burger, meatloaf and chocolate cream pie was our order. I tasted the chipped barbecue it was very good. I had meatloaf that was fortified with an ample amount of filler. The gravy was bland. This is the only establishment I have ever been in that I suspected the Winchestershire sauce was watered down. Also there is no Tabasco. Potato salad was flavorless and otherwise awful. The one high point of my meal were pickled beets. These were nicely colored, plump, spicy and tangy. They may have come from a bottle, but that’s fine. They were especially to my liking.Would I return? Possibly, but only if I could have a large helping of their pickled beets. As I said earlier the waitresses, cashier and all staff with which we interacted were wonderful people who it seemed liked their jobs. That is enough reason to visit the place at least once again.
Owner is CHEAP. Restaurant is clean. Food is OK- however I had asked for hot water for my herbal tea. I have stomach issues with caffeine – the waitress charged me 1.50 for hot water. I questioned price and was told to take it up with owner.Owner very defensive and said it took 3 dishes to serve hot water and thats manpower- that is why the charge. How ridiculous – I had gone there several times but will not be returning due to the attitude of owner. On occasion wife is in restaurant as hostess- she is brazen as one could imagine and walks around telling customers to turn cell phones off – what is this – Kindergarten !There are plenty of other choices to eat in Ft Lauderdale-do not eat here!
High Priced and Personal. The three of us liked the Andrews Diner though we could only go there one night a week-we eat out abot 4 nights a week. The propietess talked about penis size, stood on my friends chair while he was away from the table in order for her to put up the blinds which I offered to do, and when I spoke to the two others asking what they were going to have the lady owner of the restaurant said that we were together too long, if I am asking what to eat. The portions are small or spread thinly on a large plate, and the prices are more expensive then they need to be to have stupid comments attached to a dinner. Her poor husband seems beaten down.
I have tried eggs benedict at many places, none are even half as good as Andrews Dinner! Best ones ever! Plus service is GREAT!
Dinner items not tasty. Had the pork chop special. a thin piece of chop that was mostly bone was delivered, apparently no quality control in the kitchen. Owner/hostess is rude to customers with her written/unwritten rules. Yelling at customers, including me, TWICE in as many visits. Decor in the place is dreary and old. With poor food quality, and rude owner, I won’t bother going back.
Great Chicken Fried Steak for breakfast. Great Chicken fried steack, otherwise pretty average diner menu…but pretty consistent
