I have severe fibromyalgia so I brought kratom in my own cup and the owner picks up my cup and says I can’t have it so I say I didn’t know and I’ll bring it to my car but NO HE PICKS IT UP AND THROWS IT ON THE GROUND OUTSIDE AND TELLS ME THAT’S WHERE I BELONG!!! DON’T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU’RE A WHITE 17 YEAR OLD BECAUSE I SAW SEVERAL WHITE GUESTS THAT DIDN’T HAVE A SINGLE THING IN FRONT OF THEM. HE SAID HE’D CALL THE COPS ON ME FOR CALLING HIM RACIST??? ARE YOU DUMB OR STUPID
So far I had 1 chocolate latte and 1 double espresso from Austin’s, and 1 double espresso from Foxtail Coffee down the street. I drank both of the espressos black and definitely preferred the taste of the one I got from Foxtail. Foxtail Coffee’s espresso tasted kind of fruity and tart and floral and interesting; Austin’s espresso tasted overwhelmingly bitter. I’m wondering if this is a fluke because I see a lot of people like Austin’s coffee a lot. I will probably order an espresso from Austin’s again at some point to see if it was a fluke. The chocolate latte from Austin’s was good – I enjoyed that. It didn’t taste overwhelmingly sweet and artificial like Starbucks, and I like that.I also bought some beans from both Austin’s and Foxtail. I am having a lot of trouble making coffee that isn’t overwhelmingly bitter when I use the beans that were roasted at Austin’s. Even when I made a cold brew with those beans it was still very bitter. I didn’t have the same problem with the beans I got from Foxtail. I have to walk a bit farther to get to Foxtail but that’s OK.I have to wonder if maybe I just stumbled on a weird roasting batch when I tried Austin’s coffee. I think I will try again at some point because Austin’s is so close to my apartment and I want it to work. But I’ll order another espresso to check for bitterness before I buy beans.Austin’s location is convenient and I like the comfortable seating and the sofas. It’s nice they have an open mic night.
