Good food, but not authentic Cuban. This is about as Cuban as Taco Bell is Mexican. Black Beans taste like they were served straight from the can. I guess hipster atmosphere means everything. I would highly recommend Cubans on the Run in Casselberry, actual Cubans are serving up and preparing the food. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good, but not authentic. I recommend that the owners visit Little Havana in Miami, and get an idea of what real Cuban food is all about.
Not impressed, but didn’t eat sandwich. I have a feeling that unless you eat the Cuban sandwich, you’re really not getting their best dish. I had the Vegetarian Platter which is plantains which were fine, yellow rice which was not cooked well and was still a little crunchy, black beans like you get out of the can with no seasoning (they could have used some cumin and some onions on top) and a small salad with an avocado range dressing which wasn’t great (it’s better at Tijuana Flats). My friend had the papas rellenos which were almost entirely potato with just a little bit of tasteless meat. The sweet cornbread was good. It is pretty much like eating cake. If you go to the Black Bean Deli, stick with the Cuban sandwiches.
I am still in the cafe eating my sandwich. This has to be the best pork sandwich I ever ate. Great place for lunch. As Arnold said. I’ll be back
Best Cuban Sandwhich!. They make the best Cuban Sandwhich in Central Florida! The cheese is delicious and gooey and the meats are top notch. On top of that, the bread is soft yet toasty making the perfect sandwhich. Their black beans are also very tasty and their empanadas are fried perfection! Service is usually very good! It gets very crowded in there at lunch though, so if you want a seat, you’ll probably have to wait for one.
Cuban was good but the black beansWe’re nothing like abuelita’s. I had high hopes from this avocado dressing I saw a dude sling from scratch but it was ehhh. The relleno de papa was good but just as good as Publix’s you know what I mean. The only thing that was really good was the Cuban and my cold Materva 🙂
Pretty Good. Food was good, but didn’t blow me away like everyone else. Definite drawback is there are no seats. Maybe their new location will have some. Overall, I liked it and would go back.
