I can’t imagine how it is possible at all for anyone to visit Braccia and not leave feeling they have discovered their new favorite spot in Winter Park for a lovely meal al fresco. The food is delicious, well presented and right-sized. The service is attentive and warm. The ambiance is fun and friendly, even for kids. Live music plays in the background as you people watch from your Park Avenue, outdoor table and enjoy the best (Brazilian style) thin-crust pizza or delicious truffle-infused risotto. Love Love Love it, and you will too — unless you are entirely impossible to please.
In a word, underwhelming. The caesar salad was woefully underdressed and the portion of fettucine alla putanesca was laughingly small and mediocre at best. Both the pasta sauce and caesar salad dressing were bland with few redeeming qualities. Service is sorely lacking. My second bottle of Perrier water never materialized. When it didn’t and I asked for a glass of water, it never materialized either. I had to go into the restaurant and ask for it.Although this is Park Avenue and high prices are expected, the quality is usually commensurate with the price. Not the case here. I would normally give a place like this two stars, because at least the food was edible, but myexpectations for Park Avenue are higher, so 1.5 stars. With Prato and Panullo’s just down the street, I can’t imagine this place will survive.
A Brazilian-Italian Fusion restaurant with emphasis on Brazilian ingredients, Braccia is a casual cafe located on Morse Blvd where even kids will have a great time. Specialty pizza such as Portuguese, Chicken with Catupiry, Brie with Apricot, and Canadian Ham with Mango Chutney are all interesting flavors sitting on top of a crisp flatbread. Of course for the adult palate they have plenty of pastas, lamb, and fish courses too. We had the pleasure of tasting Beef Carpacio, Shrimp, Fish with Sicilian Risotto, and Lamb with Red Wine. Braccia is a wallet friendly eatery on the coveted Park Ave & Vicinity area. theprimlanikitchen.com
