Bad, bad, bad. While trying to redeem a TravelZoo voucher (a promotion this restaurant signed up for), we were told that the voucher could not be honored this year and we could use it next year but only for the value spent – not the promotion. This is not just inconsiderate, but also quite dishonest – the voucher does not expire until the 21st of December. I had to go back to the people who gifted us the voucher so that they could get their money back (which they did). This was extremely distasteful and left us both feeling bad. As a long time Winter Park resident, we have recommended this restaurant to many friends and were happy to finally get there ourselves. With all of the dining options in the area, we will never go to this restaurant and will avidly dissuade anyone who asks. Service and a commitment to stand behind ones business decisions should factor into your restaurant choice.
Miserable experience. We attempted to use a Travelzoo voucher I had purchased, but were turned away. I had made a reservation, I was already in their system, but when we arrived I was told that I had neglected to mention the voucher. Approximately 23 of 25 tables were empty, we were on time, and had driven 60 miles looking forward to our dinner since we are returning to France next week. Really rude and inconsiderate. Coincidentally, we were told that they could easily seat us (no kidding) if we would not use the voucher. We’ll never go there again, and Chez Vincent will continue to get our business when we’re craving French (and good service).
I will make this brief. We were extremely disappointed with our experience earlier this evening. My wife ordered scallops which were served with risotto. The scallops were fishy and the risotto was undercooked. Anyone that has had amazing risotto knows that it melts in your mouth and keeps you coming back for more. This one didn’t. My filet was tough and had I been blind folded, I would have thought it to be a sirloin. As harsh as this may seem, we have high expectations, especially at a restaurant with many strong reviews and a higher than normal price tag. We have eaten at many amazing restaurants worldwide and this sadly was not one of them. Do not waist your time and money. We never leave reviews but this was such a dismal place we had to!
Empty but fully booked. On a recent Sat night walked in without reservation at 7:30 and were told they were fully booked. There were 2 occupied tables inside. Not quite sure what that was about.
Best food I have ever eaten I had the pleasure of meeting a couple of friends last weekend with my wife. The place was there call we honestly had never heard of it yet it blew us away! We had the escargot and tartar for apps. For entrees I had the swordfish and my wife had the salmon. Chef Nat Russell recommended these items and we were blown away the best fish dishes we have both ever eaten. Thank you for an unbelievable meal and night!
Greeeaaat!. The food is amazing and tasty…From apetizers to desserts…it’s a real pleasure. Waiters and owners are very nice and ready to fulfil every wishes…The Restaurant’s atmosphere is full of genuiness (background music, paintings on the wall) which makes all classy…One detail : I’m french.. 🙂
