The Fleming’s 100 is the restaurant’s award winning collection of 100 wines by the glass. If wine is not your thing, they have some fabulous cocktails available as well.We were greeted by the chef with a wonderful appetizer of gulf shrimp and cheese grits.My dining companion and I decide to split the Spring Tomato Bisque with artisanal garlic croutons and parmesan frico. The soup was part of a Taste Of The Season menu and was delicious. Once I saw the Genuine Kona crusted Prime Rib Eye, I had to order it. At 16 ounces, it was more than I could eat in one sitting, but a steak this flavorful deserves two separate days to eat it. The Rib Eye itself was cooked to perfection at my requested medium and the Kona rub was magical. My dining companion chose the Filet Oscar paired with a jumbo lump blue crab cake and barnaise sauce, as featured on the Taste Of The Season menu. The filet was like butter and just melted in your mouth, and the crab cake was excellent as well.We chose the Warm Apple Crisp with cinnamon crme for our dessert. Not really.. The filet was decent; I guess I’m just not a grilled steak person anymore. The Flemings Potatoes that I assume was supposed to be a gratin, was still crunchy and raw. None of the potatoes were cooked. It’s sad that there’s nowhere to get a good, full steak dinner around town anymore. Del Frisco’s went down recently, and now this. Linda’s La Cantina is the only decent place to go anymore.
Great Food and Service. I have dined previously at this Fleming’s location and my most recent visit on July 1, 2013 confirmed that this establishment continues at a high level of food quality and customer service.I ordered their summer special of chili lime prawns with a ancho pepper sauce and an entre of pecan-crusted salmon and filet mignon for $40.95. My guest had a filet with a 8oz. lobster tail. We paired our dinner with a bottle of a Malbec. Both of our meals were delicious and a value considering the quality of the meal.The service again was to be commended. Our server, Timothy, was helpful and efficient. The assistants also were superb. From the valets to the hostess, the attentiveness to detail were hallmarks of our evening.
Fine dining experience downgraded!. Sunday night, I took my wife and friend out to dinner. The food was excellent as was the service. The experience was a fast food restaurant. One table next to us one of the guests was wearing a tee shirt. Another table over a woman with a 3/4 shirt with her stomach exposed, white daisy duke cut-offs and flip-flops. This is what I would expect at fast food restaurant. I sent an email to guest services. What I received back was very condescending. Management should be fired as should the corporate guest service director.
Excellent Evening. For our Anniversary, we chose to dine at Flemings to celebrate the special occasion. Our expectations were exceeded on every level. We have been to all of the steakhouses in Orlando, but for our vote – Fleming’s sets the bar to new heights. The combination of attentive, cordial service (not overbearing but not inattentive) – astute knowledge of the entire menu (to include wine & alcohol), an outstanding server (Holly ), absolutely delicious food – from the salad to the onion rings to the seafood to the steak to the carrot cake (YES we ordered all of that) and atmosphere/ambience that was sooooo refreshing and relaxing (of course that could have been the drinks too, but I digress). Quite simply the entire evening was simply an exercise in outstanding service & quality at all levels. We cannot wait to come back !
