I really like the idea behind hotto Porto. At first it can be intimidating but then once the waiter explained everything it was a bit easier. The soups or stocks where very good…. the meat on the other hand was disgusting. I don’t think it was even real. It ruined everything. The meatballs felt like cooked playdoh, the pork was chewy and inedible and the shrimp, well let’s just say there was barely any shrimp if it even was shrimp. Kinda sad. If they change their meat I might just give them another try.
This hotto potto place is located in a commerical complex with plenteous parking. The staff is well trained and patient to handle first time adventurers to seasoned professionals. The whole experience is weird at start because you cook your own food. You first choose the broth (and spice level) and then choose vegetables to cook in the broth. The key difference are the wide variety of sauces that you need to mix and match. No two people can have same experience and the level of success/failure of your exprience depends on how well you mix the sauces. This is one of the things that you need to try at least once.
