La Empanada may be one of the best food trucks in Orlando (despite being from Winter Park). Originating from Black Bean Deli franchise, this mobile eatery has a friendly staff and some amazing empanadas. The black bean and plantain empanada is perfect for our vegetarian friends in the world
Yummy!!!. Yesterday I was able to stop by La Empanada Food Truck for the second time. I tried all. The one I enjoy the most was the spinach one. What I really like is that they weren’t greasy at all even though empanadas are fried. They are well seasoned. Good price for a quick lunch in the Winter Park area. I will try to visit them on a Saturday for my husband to enjoy them too.
Melt in your mouth!. I make my own empanadas as home, using either pie crust or frozen empanada shells. Wow, what a difference there is when you have one that is truly homemade! I took it home from a food truck bazaar, put it in the fridge and heated it the next day. It was still fantastic, light and flavorful. Can’t wait to see the truck again.
Fantastic. I had the picadillo empanada, a Cuban classic, stuffed with tasty ground beef, bits of carrots, potatos, green olives, and golden raisins. I also ordered the lentil sloppy joe made with spicy, tomatoes, green bell peppers and onions. I enjoyed these empanadas much more than others I have had around town, which often were too greasy or fried or the ingredients weren’t all that great. Baked and filled with great, tasty ingredients, these empanadas at La Empanada were very good, especially with some rooster sauce! tastychomps.com
