Made with Care. We dined at Orchid last night for the first time. The whole experience was great. Everything in the restaurant was done with care. We had the summer rolls with shrimp. I had the Panang curry. Everything was fresh and wonderful. I highly recommend it.
Amazing Thai Food. Had some family visiting me from out of town, so I took them out to dinner at Orchid Thai Cuisine. My family comes from Thailand, so we enjoy a Thai restaurant that can really deliver the authentic flavors. Orchid not only had amazing food, but also a nice romantic atmosphere and our waiter gave us outstanding service. They have a wonderful wine selection and imported Thai beers which i was very excited about. So we started off with the Orchid Sampler, which is a combination of 5 different items, each being phenomenally delicious. It consisted of crispy shrimp, spring rolls, steamed dumplings, summer rolls, and curry puffs. This was a perfect start. Then our meals came with stunning presentation. I had the beef short ribs in massaman curry, at a medium spicy level, the meat melted as i ate bursting with exquisite flavors. my family ordered the Drunken Noodles, Pad thai, and Thai Basil Sautee with crispy duck. Every one of these entrees were so delicious and a nice reminder of food in Thailand. Dinner was then topped off with 3 different desserts, their Homemade Thai Coconut Ice cream, Thai Doughnuts, and Sweet Coconut Sticky Rice with Fresh Mango. Had such a pleasant experience, will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Went in for lunch & had the Panang Duck. I really enjoyed the dish! The duck was in a light tempura, & not over cooked. It was a waiter recommendation & he knew his menu. The table set up was a bit awkward as we got our food before we got our table settings. Will go back. There were many tempting items on the menu.
Best date night on Park Ave.. I’ve eaten at every restaurant up & down Park Ave., and Orchid Thai is definitely my favorite. Every time I’m there I try to order something new (even though their curries & pad thai are to die for), & every time they exceed all my expectations. My significant other is on a restricted diet, & Orchid’s menu has a TON of gluten free & vegan options, which we simply can’t find anywhere else. Everything is fresh, and it’s really easy to eat healthy here. It’s a small romantic restaurant at the end of the avenue, so parking is always easy, & there’s very little street noise to interrupt our dates. & I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table, even during the weekend. The woman that owns the restaurant is delightful, and really cares about her customers. This has been one of my favorite restaurants in town for a few years now!
Slow Service. Thai food presentation was wonderful, but this restaurant really needs to work on improving the time they spend in setting up service, bringing out menus and in filling orders. The fortunate Winter Park location is beautiful but not enough to oust hungry patron(s). Will be surprised if this restaurant makes it – it’s service staff need improvement … In a BIG way!
Good decor, location and decent food
Paid almost $15 for a lackluster peanut-based curry. Definitely not the best thai place I’ve been to, and for the price I was disappointed by the size of the dinner portion.
