First time at this place on Valentine’s Day and had high expectations. Didn’t get seated for 20 minutes WITH a reservation. Our order was messed up 4 times and we were still charged full price. I am very disappointed for it being a high end restaurant.
Surprisingly good place! Took my wife here for dinner and we really enjoyed our experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had a veal dish that rivals any I’m ever had. It was arguably some of the most tender veal I’ve ever had. My wife had the eggplant parm and love it. Was a nice cozy spot, we’ll be back.
One and Done. Never again will I go to this resturant. The waiter took the drink and food orders, delivered the wine and bread and totally forgot to bring our food or service our table. When we inquired about our food the kitchen scrambled to bring out one cold dinner, two nearly warm, and one hot entree. We then were on a time constraint to eat and rush to the theater. What a disaster!
The Chef. Good place . Ask for the owner he will come see you . Fresh fish good
Rude and Arrogant. The food is mediocre and the owner Rocco is a nasty rude man. It’s amazing he’s still in business with his attitude and self righteoousness.
I absolutely enjoy coming to …. Rocco’s Italian Bar & Grille, Location: (Fairbanks and 17-92 area.) Overall: Upscale casual Italian grille and bar establishment, featuring live ‘easy listening’ musicians at the bar for happy hour on Thursday and Friday evenings. Note: Plenty of tables and seating at the bar for your office happy hour gatherings. Also, enjoy full bar, appetizers, and bar menu.My personal enjoyment at Rocco’s: Warm, friendly, and the food is always sensational! Sitting at the bar is always a pleasant experience especially when Michelle is serving us. For an appetizer, try the ‘goatcheese bruchetta’, very good! Personal Menu Dinner Favorites:Pasta dish: Try the Signature Seafood Lasagna- Fresh Lobster and Scallops, in a delicious white cheese signature creamed sauce. Sensational! Also:Rocco’s ‘Specials’- Chef Rocco/owner is noted for taking great pride and is extremely passionate in finding the freshest, top quality ingredients to please his patrons, and it shows. Observation: just ask your server to bring out the grated cheese for your pasta and you will notice a fresh wedge of gourmet cheese your waiter will grate for you at the table. Never will you find processed cheese here at this restaurant. (People who know the difference, know what I am talking about here.) Quality Fresh is why we frequent Rocco’s italian Grille & Bar.
Average food, poor service, worse management. My wife, another couple and I tried Rocco’s recently. I now understand the many negative comments. The waiter spilled two glasses of red wine on my wife, breaking glass on the table and her lap. He looked so contrite, my wife who was soaked and stained, instead of being angry went out of her way to console him. We were taken to a new table and the management brought some water and dry napkins which did little to remove the stains or ease my wife’s discomfort. The food provided was quite ordinary, not what we expected from a supposed upscale Italian restaurant. At the end of the meal Rocco’s wife came and put her arm around my wife and offered some limoncello. I thought maybe that was compensation for my wife’s generous response to the situation. But when the check arrived Rocco’s had fully charged us for everything, including the limoncello. I asked to speak to Rocco and asked him why a supposedly classy restaurant did not offer to compensate my wife in some way for their employee’s carelessness and her discomfort? Rocco then accused my wife of waving her hand and knocking the tray, causing the accident. This is a complete lie. He claimed he saw it, when he was not even in the vicinity at the time. So if you want high priced, mediocre Italian food, with sloppy service and low class management, then try Rocco’s. If you want good Italian food and good prices, try Sylvanno’s on 436 in Altamonte Springs. Or go to Enzo’s, also high quality. But save yourself the disappointment and skip Rocco’s.
