Best Candy Shoppe. Going into Sassafras was a wonderful experience. My sister-in-law, an event planner from VA, asked me to put goodie bags together for an event she had in Orlando. She wanted candies from FL. The owner and staff went our of their way to help. They ordered candy and/or located the items I needed. Have been back on numerous occasions to purchase unique items for family and friends.

This is an old fashioned candy, there is big gum balls, the finest chocolate, lunch boxes and edible crickets! The employees will know you by name and they are all adoarble! If Sassafras doesn’t have the candy you are looking for – just leave a note for the owner and she’ll get it.This is the cutest candy shop in all the land! Jane M.
Great Service!. I was just in Sasafras recently for the first time and it was so cute! I was looking for specific candies from my chilid hood (moonpies, charleston chews, bit-o-honey etc) as a gift for my parents. The girls there were so helpful and sweet! They helped me find everything I needed, and even some new funky candies for my kids!All the cool candies were such a hit! Sassafras definetly gives great customer service and I had an overall great experience!
I wasn’t impressed at all. Sure it is a cute store but I was expecting to find unique and vintage candy. They had a few that were from my younger days and I bought those even though they were ridiculously over priced. I got home and opened the candy to find that all of the chocolate I bought stuck to the wrappers like they were melted and were turning white from being so old. I spent fifty dollars in sassafras and everything I bought besides the drinks was old and stale. Everything is either 100 percent or more than you would pay anywhere else. Needless to say I will not be returning. Very disappointed.
Sassafras is the perfect place to find any candy you could imagine. They have a wide selection at great prices. I received wonderful service from Laura when I went. I would suggest Sassafras to any candy lover.
A must stop for locals and tourists while visiting the shopping gem, Park Avenue. After dinner or before the movies introduce your friends and family to vintage candy and drinks. Also had my daughters birthday party there, fun, fun, fun! Support this local mom as she breaks into this small community business!
Vintage Candy is Back!. First walking into the shoppe you are immediately drawn back to your neighborhood candy store with the bright colors, inventive decor, and familiar sweets. The staff is knowledgeable about candies from many years ago to the latest and most interesting up and comers. While there I also learned that the shoppe hosts parties in the shoppe and attends events with candy bars, definitely something I’ve seen become a more popular trend as I begin to plan a wedding coming up next year. We died laughing when we saw some candies such as the bacon flavored mints and lollipops (my fiances favorite) and were happy to take home tons of treats for my nephews. I was very impressed with everything the shoppe offered and will continue to bring my nephews and friends there.
